It's a expiring contract, teams will take him on.

This is just the Rockets trying to make it seem like he's valuable to the team.

If any one takes a shot at Martin it will be a playoff team though.

Rockets plan on keeping Martin like they planned on keeping Dalembert.

Yeah right, that's just talk. He won't be here at opening camp.

Our "assets" will rot without playtime. You know, Daryl, an "asset" isn't worth acquiring if you're not will to "develop" it.

He's in a contract year and getting older. If we kept him and let Lee move in it wouldn't be the worst thing. I'd imagine he'd buck up and try this year.

He definitely won't make it until camp. He didn't seem too interested after getting traded last year so I'm pretty sure it's mutual. Give Lamb all of Martin's minutes and pay him 10 million less.

Since Lee isn't guaranteed to stay, that's not a bad thing. Have him and Lamb battle it out + Lamb can learn from Martin.

So we are keeping Martin, re-signing Lee and bringing in Lamb with our highest draft pick to play along side Dragic and 447 power forwards. Sweet. #assets

If this is a bluff, it's a really bad one. If Lee takes the same approach that Dragic has, keeping Martin means saying goodbye to Lee.

I don't want to create Kevin Martin 2.0. Would rather have Lee's work ethic on the defensive end for Lamb to model.

I think you wouldn't get any trade value for him anyway until close to the trade deadline: a team making a playoff push, maybe with an injured player to replace.

Lamb needs HGH for a year before he's ready for frontline duty.

What does our cap look like with him? (Asik and no Lee or Camby?)
What are the strategies for giving Martin away and gaining some cap space?

We need Martin's expiring contract for the Dwight trade, which is looking more and more likely. I imagine it will be swapped for Turkoglu's deal as additional consideration for the trade. Or perhaps a three way trade, with Martin going to Minnesota and the mostly non guaranteed contracts of Webster and Miller going to Orlando for cap relief.

I think people were acting like Martin is just a throw in for a trade - I think this is Moreys way of saying, he is anything but that.

He is not only an expiring contract, he is also a very efficient shooter, that can give you 20 points per game. Teams like Chicago, Boston (if Allen leaves), OKC, DAL or SA could really use him in a push for the championship. Next year, they can resign him for a reasonable price and save some cap space.

How about Martin and Scola for Noah and some filler? Perhaps Martin and Lowry for Rondo and some filler? Martin and Scola for Harden and Ibabka plsu some pieces to make it work?

Most likely K-Mart is gonna be sign and traded. I really want to see how Lamb is going to go in the league.
