I thought it was much better when it was still Jimmy Walkers.

Hey, the Flying Dutchman is still around. Last two times down there I refused to wait in the Aquarium line and ate there. I wasn't dissappointed. Upstairs is very nice but a little pricey. But the food is great.

    what a coincidence.
I was talking to an old friend twenty minutes ago. she got a job on the boardwalk in Kemah selling grass skirts and coconut bras.

maybe you will run into her!

If you want fancy, I agree with the second floor of Landry's which is known as the Jimmy Walker room. Pretty expensive in my book, but the food was pretty good, I guess.

my girlfriend and i had our 2nd year anniversary on 07/27 as well too :) i took her to boulevard bistrot at montrose and 59. the food and atmosphere was great. just wondering, what exactly does everyone consider expensive for dinner in a nice restaurant? last nite, boulevard bistrot cost me 90$ dollars for two. a little expensive for me but it was nice since we don't often go to classy restaurants.

I ate at the Aquarium restaraunt a few weeks back and I thought the food was pretty good. It's certainly comparable to eating at Papa's or one of those other chained restaraunts. I mean...you either have your fried variety of crap or your grilled/broiled variety. I had the broiled stuffed shrimp and it was pretty damn good. That restaraunt is kind of gay, though, because of all the people just standing around at the aquariums....especially when the diver is feeding the fish. People were dressed like scummy vermon. They shouldn't allow people in who are not eating to see the aquarium IMO.

I also went to an Astros game at Minute Maid Park for the first time. Those seats really suck. At least the Ballpark in Arlington has seats with a little more room and drink holders. At Minute Maid, I felt like a sardine the whole time cause I had no elbow room and felt cramped. It may be just me but the seats at the Ballpark feel a little roomier than Minute Maid's. I was also completely disappointed in the refreshment lines. Those things were a mile long everywhere you went. You either go early or late or plan on missing a few innings of the ballgame. I would almost rather go to a game when the Astros are in the cellar so I could get a damn hot dog or drink without a monster wait.
