Put Cato back where he belongs, backup center.

I really doubt jvg would let cato keep playing if he wasn't doing what he wanted him to do. If we do loose cato I still want a big bodied bodyguard for yao sittin at powerforward. Cato's largest weakness is his shot. I really hope we don't get any shorter though. I really think the height issue is somewhat hurting us

MoT should start. The defense is done..... stick a fork in it.

Let's just outscore everyone. Isn't that the point?

I think Mo should start. Enough already with Kelvin and Yao. We need Mo to come in right from the get go and set the tone for the game like we know he can. The guy wants to be the man and he has a deadly shot. If yao doesnt want to be aggresive well then run plays for MO let him open up the floor spacing and see how the defesne reacts.
I would love to have Rashard Lewis at the 3 and Jimmy Jam at the 2 or coming of the bench. But, I really dont think the Rox will make any moves until the offseason. Big moves that is.

Management could have used Glen Rice contract and another plater and had Jamison instead of just dumping the thing.

I dont see much difference between AJamison and MoT.. scoring PF that dont play tough defe and both rebound decently. I cant give AJamison the nod over Mot.. I think we would be log jammed at the position with both of them. I still think we need a tall atheltic SF who can run, defend and hit open shots and move JJ to the 2.

AJamison and MoT at PF? thats like having the same exact player in my opinion. I say wait till the off season sign Rasheed have MoT back him up find a decent SF.

Taylor has been playing really well lately. We have to be pretty happy with that. Cato seems to be off and on depending on the team and the matchup. I think against the 'bigger' teams he plays well because he can bang with the big boys but against more versitile teams and quicker teams he just doen't match up. That is a problem. Those are the teams where it would be nice if we still had Eddie Griffin.

Taylor should not start. I think his role off the bench is very important. He should get 'starters minutes' but should not start. The rotation we have with Yao coming out and Taylor coming in makes sense. The offense we currently run makes it important that we have at least one post player in the game at all times (Yao or Taylor). When we have a post threat our offense runs well. When we dont we run some sort of helter skelter offense that usually results in more iso plays and bad shots.

Don't discount the fact that Taylor comes in for Yao late in the first quarter and thus ends up playing against 2nd team PFs. This allows him a big advantage offensively and defensively he doesnt have to go against 1st teamers (at least initially). This is important because he then doesnt get in foul trouble, which has been a problem in the past. It is important to get Taylor going early and this rotation allows for it.

I think it is important for this team to acquire a PF that is a banger like Cato but with more quickness and one that can hit the medium range jumpshot so we aren't limited in our offense.

Agreed. Helps give Cato some time to rest when Mo gets in.. and then it would allow Yao to give a breather like JVG has been doing..and also gives the other players like francis and cuttino to rest from the offensive plays for just a bit while mo does his thing:D
