what do you guys think about getting cato back? we could use another big man.
Id assume he could come for the minimum since he already ripped us off once.

if yao goes down at all we cant count on mutumbo to play many minutes and we arent going to put juwon at center.

plus i miss the alley oop him and steve use to do once a game.

    any chance of this?

The minimum is the maximum. Nothing more, and I'll welcome him back.

For the Vet Minimum, we can do alot worse the Kelvin. he is familiar with our defense. he is a shot blocker and is a massive body.

    LONNY BAXTER > CATO

    1. BAXTER brings energy and hustle
    2. Lonny plays with professionalism
    3. Has less serious injuries
    4. More build so that what happen in palace wont happen here in houston
    5. Nice fella

But we dont need him to score a heap of points. a few screens, a few rebounds and a couple of blocks a game. he is a ideal fit.

As I've said before elsewhere, Mr. Cato owes the Rockets 2 years of free basketball.

IMO - Juwan gives us less for about the same money-both are equally obedient to Van Gundy and accepted by him

I would sign Kelvin Cato in a heartbeat. He is worth the risk. He may not have played that well for other coaches, but Van Gundy got a lot out of him. We don't have enough money to spend groves on him, so we don't have to worry about spending too much. Seeing that none of us are GM's or owners, it would be good news to see a new thread saying we've signed him up.

    gosh u idiots!!!!!!!

cato didn't do anything wrong by signing a big contract that CD offered. if u're going to blame anyone blame cd for making that mistake. its not like cato's production drmatically dropped after he signed the contract. hes still tat same piece of **** player he was.

u fans is juz r****ds if u say cato can't help us... hell i'll even sign him or 1.8mill a year

Cato for the minimum would be great.

Cato for the minimum + $1 would suck.

    I wouldn't mind Cato back.

He played tough for the rockets the last 2 years he was there.

I'd only want him as a backup center though. The nba has changed since he was last masquerading as a pf.
