WTF? Are you kidding? Next thing you know someone will say Shaq can shoot three pointers.

Bring Cato back! He could help Yao a lot and is worthy for our 1.5 million TE.

    Cato is a career 50% on FG%. That can't all be alley-oops.

And, Shaq can shoot the three. He's a career 5.0% 3pt shooter and in 1995-1996 he shot 50%. In contrast, Ray Allen's best year was 43.4%. I'm sure you'd say that Ray Allen can "shoot three pointers".

    50%>43.4%

    I hope you're being sarcastic.

I always thought that Cato played his best basketball under JVG. He helped Yao out as far as another banging body inside the paint. If he wanted to come here for the minimum, which is the least he could do after we gave him his current contract, then I say do it. He knows the system and knows Yao, Why not?

I was being sarcastic about Shaq, but I really do think that Cato can shoot. He's decent from about 12 feet-in. He's got excellent form and can even shoot the three during warm ups. You should see him during pre-game.

I respect that you think Cato can't shoot. That just means that your standards for a 'good jumper' are higher than mine. High standards aren't always a bad thing.

Given your "lower" standards of Cato's jumper, then I bet you think Celine Dion is hot.

Only when he has Francis feeding him dunks. And 6.5 pts and 6 boards in 25 is pretty embarassing for someone with his size and athleticism. He is not driven to perform, it takes external stimuli. We don't need any of that.

His jumper during the last year with the Rockets was better than both Juwon's and Swift's last year. Plus, he was a good rebounder. Most rebounds per minute that year, I think. If he was the caliber that he was when he left Houston, he'd be worth signing. I believe that. Problem is knowing whether he's that caliber of player 2 years later.

I'm not looking to get a star. I want a solid compliment that improves Yao and Tracy. I believe Cato's game does that. He's a trash player, but not undersized defensively like Chuck Hayes.

    (Sign Hayes again too!)

I have been away from the internet for a little over a week. Couldn't wait to get back to Clutch Fans. What do I find, we are still kicking Kelvin Cato around. Somehow I feel as I haven't missed a thing.
