    QUESTION:
Who is the third-place all time Rockets leader in FG%?

Now there is a man who would make a good player and coach for this team.

If Cato can lead in FG, imagine what Yao Ming might do! Cato does seem more active and involved with the team and expressing himself. Let's give him a better chance than we did last year, he performed well the second half. He should be a good compliment to Yao Ming just as MT is to EG and Rice is to KT. They all are bringing something to the plate... :D

Its not hard to be the leader in FG% when your range is 1-2 feet from the basket and 90% of your field goal attempts are dunks. Why do you think Shaq FG% is so high? He scored from 8 feet in. You dont see him banking shots in from 15 feet a la Tim Duncan or taking long range jumpers like Patrick or Hakeem. Artis Gilmore is the all time leader, or one of them, in FG%. Nuff said.

Well, I can understand how he the All-Time FG% leader, all he can do is dunk! He can't do anything better (beside cash checks), you gotta admit those alleys from Steve are nasty.

P.S Does Cato ever scare you when he dunks? He sure as hell scares me, it sounds like he's getting stabbed when dunks. He lets out this horrific scream. AAGGGAGAGGAHHH!!!!

I can certainly understand all the Cato sucks comments however, I hope that he does play well this year as Yao Ming is going to hit the rookie wall hard. Thats a fact, all rookies hit that wall and, considering how much Yao has been playing and his present lack of NBA fitness, he will hit it hard. Whether you like it or not Cato wil be our main center this season and Yao Ming will be inserted to change a games momentum and/or create short term mismatches.

Next year things will be different but IMHO this years success will depend on Cato's motivation, Griffin's growth as a player and Rudy T's commitment to changing the offense and improving the teams defense.

Naw, Rudy will start Yao Ming and he'll play the first 13-15 minutes like he is trained to do. The Rockets will lead by like 43-15 when Cato comes in and Yao Mings numbers will be like 18 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Afterward, the press will say what a lousy job the guards did at getting him the ball and that if we had any competition it would be great to see him play the entire game...

Wow, one good season, and Steve can move into the top ten in point scored...

Cato is the Derek Bell of the Rockets. As soon as his posterior is riding the pine for 45 mins a game, it will be operation "Shut Down". haha ...Oh wait, operation shut down happened in 2000-2001. HMMMMMM

Although I agree with all the jokes in response to the original question "Can Cato be a leader/coach?", I have to say one thing: A leader leads by example. So although Cato did play better than the previous years (not hard to do) he will never be a leader as long as he shows laziness and a lack of motivation to work on his game.

He may be a coach but it will be for a school who only looks at his longevity in the league and maybe his stats but never watched him and his lazy butt play. Maybe a high school in some small town without access to NBA League Pass.

I seem to remember the real leader of this team riding Cato's @ss just so he could produce and give us some kind of presence in the paint. I like Cato, he could be a good center if he wanted to. But this tendency to disappear and play unmotivated, and his refusal to work on his game, particularly offensive game in the offseason just turns me off. He has offensive capabilities, he has shown he could knock down the 15 foot jumper, but he never works on it and that's just frustrating.

Thanks. I wrote the words myself, I put a lot of time (and wasted hate) into it.

I summation, Cato is no longer worth the energy it takes to dislike him.
