I agree, especially with the Dylan reference. Hell, he's a "World Idol". I still, I think that Kelly is far more talented than any of those horrific pop artists you mentioned. She has quite a voice. The show is poorly titled. The British title, "Pop Idol", is far more suitable.
Not that I watch but I hear Kelly put on a heck of a performance last night. She has a very nice voice although I wish they would have let them pick there own songs last night or better yet have someone write them there own song so I am not always trying to compare them to the first artist I heard sing the same song.........Kelly in a landslide, or so I`ve heard
Talent has nothing to do with this...The fact is that most of the audience for American Idol consists of teenage girls. Therefore, Justin will win... Now, the REAL question...How many times has Justin put the screws to Kelly this past week? BTW, Simon Cowell is responsible for discovering the Spice Girls, so just about any credibility he has as an evaluator of talent is tossed out the window...
ZRB, true...To call them "American Idol" is ridiculous...The winner will not be my idol..and I'm American, therefore......well, you get the idea. It has been painful at times to have to listen to some of this since the music isn't to my liking, but I try to judge them on their talent, vocal style and stage presence. I guess I watch more to see if the american public are truly the sheep that I think they are, willing to accept whatever highly-produced , packaged b.s. that the record companies shove at them. Or as I think it will come down to in this case...will they choose the person with the true talent (Kelly) or will the teeny bopper, little girl vote carry the lesser talented one(Justin) to the prize. btw, did you catch the English winner? Are there any male singers that actually sing lke a man?? All the guys in the american version and the english winner sound lke they are doin bad Micheal Jackson impersonations... Oh yea, to answer the question.....I think the vote will go to Justin, but the producers will over-rule it and pick Kelly....

unfortunately, the morning radio station I listen to played a clip from this god awful show last night... they said that the guy that won in the British version of this show (so we actually copied this stupid idea from someone else?) sang his single on the show last night... well they played a clip and all i have to say is was that Davey Jones? My god this dude sounded straight outta "The Monkees!"

I don't care who wins, but if I never see Brian Dunkleman's face on TV again it would be too soon. Justin's Dad is funny, black dude with NO rhythm. I know Kelly from her days waitressing at a comedy club in Arlington. I cheer for both.
