I think that $13.5m is a fair figure but I think you'd have to offer 3 years with an option for the 4th. I'm not so sure that Tilman would pay that much .... I'd almost bet they offer him ~$10-11m and he walks.
No way they offer less then his current contract. 13.5 is just the same trajectory of his current contract.
If we do get a star player in THIS draft, I really hope he re-signs with us. He'd be a good veteran presence. If we don't get a cornerstone piece, then it doesn't really matter.
I really hope you're right. I'd love to see the young Rockets grow around Kelly. However, I don't see Tittally comming up with more than 14m guaranteed.
Thats good news. One of the things I was hopeful for is that Kelly sees this coach really features his talents and gives him opportunity many others havent so far in letting him be a playmaker. Hopefully that and our offer is upto par and we can keep him. His play style is unselfish and that rubs off on the young guys
Well mason plumlee had some flashes of allowing that Jokic Al horford had a previous role Boris Diaw got the chance with MDA and with POP Julius Randle does with the knicks Giannis but he may be classified as a 1,3,4,5 Sabonis in indiana Zion Siakim In an case, the list is small and rare for not just to find a big man with the skillset, but for a coach to trust the big to go a non traditional bigs. Adelmen was like that with Divac, Webber, and even Brad Miller. but its still takes a coach being creative about it. Kelly has never had the useage and touches hes getting here. So either he parlayed it and tries to get his biggest contract which at 30 i wouldn't blame him for or he decides this is wa too fun and a more engaging role or I can do this for 1-2 years and get the contract afterward while we increase stabilit and consistency and should be better with that. It could go either way depending on who Coincidentally, Sabonis and Kelly Share agaents from the above list, hes also klays agent. Not a huge roster, but he knows the business and does it more personal. We'll have to wait and find out. Biggest offseason in recent memory to shape the franchise for a variety of reasons, june 22nd.
hoping that wasn't Olynyk's last home game. have really appreciated watching him play this year, an unexpected surprise
