As of now the rockets don't have that Ariza replacement yet, so it remains to be seen.

Additions - Carmelo Anthony, DeAnthony Melton, James Ennis, MCW, Vincent Edwards, Isaiah Hartenstein
Subtractions - Trevor Ariza, Luc Mbah Moute, Joe Johnson

The huge Concern every Rockets Fan had was The Roster was Old Last Year, I am more excited about the Youth, Athleticism, Midrange, Low Post Carmelo provides, Shot Blocking Zhou Qi adds this year, that has been added with these Players. The Bench is more Dynamic.

That is like saying a role player Avenger can do much against a team of Thanoses.

Let's see what Ennis can do against the best.

And yeah, his shot was off but normal when he puts all his energy on Defense.

On Melo I think people are missing a key point. They keep talking about replacing Ariza with Melo. Melo is a replacement for Ryan Anderson and guess what, there is no drop off in defense there. Ennis is Ariza's replacement so I don't see an issue. Welcome home Melo, see you later Anderson. I wouldn't be surprised if there is another addition that is a good to great wing defender and in that case the Rockets get better since Luc was a no show in the playoff because of injury. Don't forget, Ariza has King David's beeper number just like Melo does (old as f**k for the nba).

Ariza didn't do anything special against the best, nor do NBA players have bad shooting nights because they 'put all their energy into defense'.

I don't like this signing, Melo is terrible now. He won't mesh with the ball movement on this team IMO.

How is he a replacement for Ryan Anderson? Right now he is taking Ariza’s spot in the starting lineup and could be playing 30 mpg. He is expected to have a bigger role than what Ryno would have ever gotten this upcoming season.

Ennis is Luc’s replacement. There is a reason why Morey is trying to add another 3&D wing, it’s because he has yet to replace Ariza.

Everyone knows Kellerman does not have much knowledge about basketball, yet some of our fans seem like his comments.

Well said. And that "media narrative" thread is where we can keep the receipts.

As for Melo, the "start/bench" thing really is way over blown. "Playing off the bench" is code word for "limited minutes." When people say "start" they immediately assume "starters minutes" and might assume "closing." But those are all up in the air.

Likely, as stated, Melo will be aligned with CP3. And will get the BULK of his minutes in the CP3 "2nd unit" crew that murdered people last season in the late 1st quarter, early 2nd quarter part of the game.

It is about efficiency. And how do I know this? Morey told us on twitter.

There was a joke about the "Rockets" going to "lead the league in carbs" (aka Melo and empty calories). Morey responded that we are "time restricting our carb intake"

AKA Melo will play restricted minutes for efficiency.

Yup. Unlike Smith, the blabbering loudmouth idiot, Killerman actually talks sense most of the time.
