James Ennis with his age at 28 years old is better than Ariza at 33, Luc at 30.
Jeff Bzdelik was happy the Rockets got James Ennis, he used to coach James with the Grizzlies as an Assistant.
There is a Trust Factor. James Ennis is so underrated and not really known by Old Media Personalities by ESPN, Fox
Skip and Shannon were shocked of how good P.J Tucker is, Old Media people Only talk about Stars. They have no idea what role player can play defense. Media is Star Driven, Journalism is nonexistent. I mean there is a Trade Deadline during the NBA Season, the Rockets can make some moves, players can get released also. Why is ESPN "Acting" Like They Know how defensive players look like, No Doubt They are Worried and Scared. Carmelo is going to be Huge Part of the Team.

James Ennis is going to be Loved by Rockets Fans, Like Defensive Players Chris Paul, Patrick Beverley, Shane Battier, Chuck Hayes, P.J Tucker

I don't understand why his relationship with D'antoni keeps being brought up by people.
The Rockets were going to trade for him last year AND they were going to have to pay him.
Do they really not think that the team has done their due diligence to make sure this will be an amicable union?

Again, they were willing to take on him and his salary just a season ago...Now they are basically getting him for free.

Max, Stephen, Skip, Shannon all are never updated with new Rookies, College Players. Role Players, Coaches, No idea what playbook looks like, defensive plays. Zone Defense, Man to Man, Switching Defense.
Always talking about Jordan vs LeBron, Kobe. Tom Brady, Kawhi and Spurs Topic is dead now, Russell Westbrook. All are dumb topics to discuss, All of the shows are repetitive, Nonsense. LeBron and Star Players don't talk about these fools or Come on their Show. Only Stephen A Smith can get a Harden Interview and Rachel too.

CF hates Screamin' A. but loves them some Kellerman.

We're six pages and counting with Kellerman! Had I put Stephen A., two max maybe?

    ;)

That's just silly. Let's not get carried away.

Ennis may be quicker than Ariza at this point, but that's about it. Ariza is a much smarter, more experienced player, both offensively and defensively. Ennis has roughly 75 hours of game time in the NBA so far; Ariza has 463 hours. To say Ennis is better than even an aging Ariza is simply absurd.

Hopefully our coaching staff can help Ennis get the job done, but get ready to watch a lot of blown defensive assignments, especially early in the season. It's not like Ennis is some amazing athletic specimen who can use his physical abilities to compensate for a lack of experience and knowledge.

Going to be great watching the Rockets prove you wrong next season.

Our success will really depend on Ennis and Melton exceeding expectations on team defense and 3 point shooting. Melo is kinda just there. The team cancer thing is entirely overblown, Melo was never a bad team mate, not last year, not ever. In fact he took a huge backseat last season, he just sucked to be honest.

I'm not saying the Rockets will be worse without Ariza. I do think they'll miss his locker room presence, but they have other vets who can step into that role. If anything, CP3 now becomes the unquestioned veteran leader.

I'm comfortable that MDA and Biglydick will incorporate Melo, Ennis, Melton, MCW and whoever else they acquire and that the team will be at least as good as they were last year.

But that doesn't mean that Ennis is a better player than Ariza. That's crazy talk.

Ariza is the most overhyped Rocket of the 2010's. He was at his best coming off the bench and hitting open shots for Kobe. He's been lackluster as a Rocket both the 1st time and the return.

Not to say Ariza has 50x more Playoff experience and a Ring to show.

That was Yao's ring and his playoff experience has meant nothing against the Warriors.

anytime someone gets acknowledged for their value or what they contributed to their team the classic answer is always by casual fans "he's overrated"/"he's overhyped"

why some people have trouble with that is funny. you have people trying to conclude at this point in time, ennis is better then someone who is an established vet with a ring. especially when before he even signed with houston, they had no clue who he even was.

James Ennis looked really similar to Ariza in their Younger days, big Dunkers, too bad Ariza never had a ability to create off the dribble, or attack the basket. Ennis has that ability which is going huge against the best teams.

It's a nicer way of saying Ariza was trash tho. I'm not concluding Ennis is better, I'm concluding we will get an addition by subtraction of Ariza. Whoever gets the nod at the 3 will give us more. I don't think DM screwed up by letting Ariza and Luc go.
