We cannot lose Kellerman to a belief injury this early in the season.

Sorry, what I meant was in comparison to WB and PG, Harden isn't Always looking to score as much. He'll get is 25-30 but Melo will be used better offensively playing alongside Harden and Paul.

    Macks Kellamen.

This is what he does every season. Start out with some hate/doubt against us and then pretends he was riding with us all along by December.

Stephen A is on the money here, the only thing he didn't bring up is that Melo was not brought in to replace Ariza and Luc. That would be Ennis, whom they both conveniently glossed over.

Why would you infer that from what I said? I provided stats from last year's team with no Ariza, and obviously no Melo.

[Warning: Intelligent and Fair & Balanced basketball post]

Kellerman is a very intelligent guy and is right most of the time.

People are just being oversensitive and hating on him for speaking sense.

Outside of Houston, almost every neutral bball fan shares his view. The only reason Rockets fans don't is because they are homers or delusional or desperate or a combination of some sort.

If Melo had gone to the Lakers, most of the Rockets fans on here would be saying exactly what Kellerman just said.

We are coming fresh off of Joe Johnson debacle. Lessons in humility should have been learned.

[super enlightened post of penetrating truthiness]

Kellerman may or may not actually believe what he is saying on the screen. It's for the camera.

Therefore, we shouldn't really care at all.

We can continue to watch various media members' thoughts and predictions have no bearing on reality and come to our own conclusions with far more interesting data points than were presented here.

Three months ago we were laughing at Melo and calling him a cancer. The schadenfreude at OKC being stuck with him was off the charts. Now that he's on our roster we are up in arms at people thinking the same thing about us.

Yes, I provided stats in response to the part of the discussion specifically related to the impact of losing Ariza. They had nothing to do with Melo or any other player who wasn't on the team last year. They couldn't.

You concluded that I was saying something other than what I explicitly stated, which is the definition of inference. o_O

Kellerman is a better boxing analyst than for the NBA. He's almost like a fish out of water trying to analyze other sports. That said some of his points on Melo are plausible.

Name me 5 other players in the NBA that make team worse when signed for the minimum.

Meanwhile, Harden celebrates the fact that his team just got worse.
