Wahhhh. Do you want him suspended or something? He's young, immature, and made a mistake. Get over it.

I think he definitely regret making the statement (who wouldn't). Now those might not be his own words but for public figures that's not uncommon. How many speech do you think Bush, Clinton, heck any speaker pre - schedule press conference would write themselves?

    Chuckie,

I appreciate it. There are lots of players right now that don't know what to think or do as this little skid is completely foreign to them. I think that is what happened to KW2. I don't condone his statements at all, but I am glad that he still has the fire to want to win, something that seems lacking from some of their other players. I don't know how many times you have seen Miami play this year, but if you have seen them a lot like I have, you could sense the frustration that has been building inside of Winslow.

Miami has lots of problems right now, but the biggest has been QB play. Brock Berlin has not progressed like he should have been doing this year. There is no breakaway speed in the backfield with Gore out, the receivers have yet to turn up a consistent playmaker like Andre Johnson (although some of that is Berlin's fault - not hitting guys in the stride, locking in on one guy, throwing into double and triple coverage, etc), and the offensive line has gotten worse and worse as the season has gone on. Thank God, that the defense has played lights out in giving up 10 points to Va Tech (the other 21 were all scored off Miami turnovers) and 10 points to Tennessee.

As bad as things have gone in these last 2 weeks, Miami still can win the Big East and go to a BCS game by winning out thanks to Pitt's upset of Virginia Tech. Do they deserve to be there? Probably not, but the sooner this season can end the better, as I am looking for something positive for this season and a BCS bowl will do it.

Derrick Crudup should be given the opportunity to start against Syracuse as Berlin's confidence is shot. But if Coker does not give Kyle Wright, one of the top HS QBs last season and redshirting this season, a fair chance of winning the QB job this coming spring, I don't know what I will do. I honestly don't know if I can stomach a 2nd season of Berlin as the starter.:(

Yeah, when they signed up to play for Miami, they thought that it meant never losing a game!:D

One thing Kellen Winslow Sr. didn't pass on to Kellen Winslow Jr. was class.

I saw this on ESPN and I wasn't there but I have to say I believe him a little, although the frustration of losing 2 games has to suck given their recent success...

    Exactly!!

The man (or boy really) had no defense for what he said but it was in the heat of the moment and he was baited somewhat. Hard to believe they even had the players talking to the media that soon after the game.

I am no Canes fan but IMO Winslow is a great player who just made a mistake. It was just very stupid and very insensitive comments to the media, and IMO he gave a honest apology. I am sure 29 or 30 NFL teams will not hold it against him.

i saw this a few days ago, and I forgot to comment on it.

That little tirade he had in the locker room came off to me as fake. When I mean fake, I mean he is trying to jazz himself up as one hardcore, manly, thuggish football player. Kellen Winslow is a rich kid. I think he is just trying to be street. I think there was too much fakeness in it.

It's called "damage control." The irony is that "damage control" may also be a military reference... so I better hush.;)
