That is exactly what I'm talking about. D.C. is Stevie's hometown (just as Houston was and is Clyde's). Without a significant reason to stay (like, for instance, not missing the playoffs for his entire career, as was the case for Clyde in Portland), I see Francis heading to D.C. as soon as his childhood hero, Jordan, says "Please come play for me...I need you on my team." It is my argument that Mobley is at least one reason for Francis to decide to stay in 3 years. A 4 year friendship may mean jack these days in the NBA, but it's better than just hoping that Francis' relationship with Rudy T. and the rest of the organization is strong enough when the time comes. ------------------
Mobley staying would be nice, but it's not a requirement. Francis has said he wants to play in Houston his entire career "like Hakeem". And Francis has also talked about the Rox being good next season and that all we need is a few more pieces to the puzzle to be great. This and other stuff he has said doesnt seem like he will leave. Plus, he's a nice guy, I dont think he will ditch us. ------------------ treasurer of the moochie norris fan club
