Leavers: Baddier Jeffries Brooks Miller Yao Don't Really Care About: Hill Williams Smith Budinger The rest I'm ok with although I wouldn't mind packaging them for a "superstar". (Not very likely.)
Is it possible to trade someone with a high salary for just a draft pick? For example, can we trade Scola to NJ for their own 2011 first rounder, or does NJ have to actually trade a player along with the draft pick?
Keepers: Lee Martin Lowry Get them outa here: Jeffries Battier Miller Scola ehhh: Everyone else Trade our older players for draft picks, and enabling us to play our young players to see how good they can be, i.e. Twill, ish, ppat, hill, lee.

Can anyone just admit it and realize that we are not getting a star?? Everyone is gone, Nuggets said no to trading Nene, Carmelo is gone, and hes the only true star that was available at the moment...smh
No personal offense. But, shouldn't you be doing a minimum amount of information gathering? You've posted trades before and obviously they are created from thin air. Google "Larry Coon" and "FAQ". You'll be doing yourself a favor and gaining some respect in the process. And no...under the current CBA (expiring on June30) draft picks operate on a sliding Rookie Scale and have no trade value until they have a signed contract. There must be a salary match for what you are trying to do.
Lowry's obviously staying put, and I hope Morey holds on to Patterson and T-Will for the long haul. I'm a big a fan of Courtney Lee, but if he's the piece that needs to be dealt to land a big, so be it. Everyone else is fair game.
I'd trade anyone at anytime - it all depends on who you get back. I'd order my players by value - contract vs play vs age Kyle Lowry Kevin Martin Luis Scola Courtney Lee Patrick Patterson Chuck Hayes Shane Battier Jordan Hill Terrence Williams Chase Budinger Ish Smith Aaron Brooks Brad Miller Yao Ming
KEEPERS Scola (solid double-double low-poster and develops his game every year) Hayes (Chuckwagon rolls; and he's scoring more than he has his previous seasons) Patterson (he's learning the NBA fast) Martin (solid scorer) Lowry (solid PG) Lee (solid bench game; he attacks the basket and brings aggressiveness for us) LEAVERS Jefferies (...) Hill (he is a high-energy player, but still making rookie mistakes) Brooks (I actually like Brooks. He can bring leverage in a trade, though) Williams (there's a reason Adelman isn't playing him much. dont know why, but sure seems he won't be a Rocket long, which sucks b/c we haven't seen him play much here) Battier (love some Battier, but if we can get something for him from a contending team, I'm for it. He deserves a ring) This is my list. The players I didn't list on either, if they stay or go, I'm not too attatched. Battier I want to go only to earn himself a ring, which most of us can agree, the man deserves it! At least, let's see something happen before the deadline, yaheard!!!
Why the **** do research when I can just ask the question here? Isn't that one of the points of a forum, Gator?
First it's Gater. Secondly, there are many "points" to the forum. If all you want to do is plod along and never elevate your level of understanding. That's fine. My "point" to being on CFans is learn more about basketball in general and the Rockets in particular. Again, you are free to choose your own path. But at some future point when you get totally ignored by people you have come to respect...it might be time to re-think the "point".
