First off, if you believe Doc Rocket (I do) this won't happen as there will be changes. As long as Malone's not one of the vets we're pursuing, I think that's a good thing.

That said, I like this idea. Whether or not the ultimatum's enforced, it would be a good idea to emphasize the urgency. Urgency was one of the main things lacking last year and this young squad seems to have a problem with feeling like they can take nights off and make it up later. I like the idea of telling these guys, who keep saying we need to keep the team intact as is, that if they want that to happen they'd better stop blowing off "easy" games. They'd better start taking the NY's and the LAC's and the Denver's seriously or there will be consequences. Most of the excuses up to this point are, to my mind, valid. But there's a danger they become a crutch. Les should say, okay, I've given every one of you a long leash and the benefit of four years worth of doubt, but there will be no more or there will be consequences.
