Well guys, Asik is staying. That means Dwight is gone, he'll be traded either today or tomorrow in exchange for Kobe, Nash, and Staples Center.
I meant melo , of course if he signs an extension like he did when he get traded to knicks . I didn't forget lebron , but miami won't give him for D12 , maybe for durant...
The whole trading Asik charade was trolling by Morey because they are happy with Jones & Casspi at PF.
I think it's worth considering ... But let's face it , Harden and D12 are faces of this franchise for next couple years . Ooops , didn't we know this since summer  This topic is all about fun...
When you suggest trading a guy who during a transition to a new team is putting up 18 ppg, 13 rpg, 2 bpg just because you're enamored with and want to keep a guy who, in his best year, put up 10 ppg and 11 rpg and 1.1 bpg. Even with Howard's worst year last year while injured he blew away Asik. Oh, and they're essentially the same age so it's not like Asik has youth on his side. I love Asik but come on now lets get with reality here people.
If the Rockets with Dwight look like a team that is 5-8 in the playoff standings (which is more or less what they have looked like) that is the same as last season and if they believe at the All-Star break they will lose again in the first round, that's unacceptable to Morey and the owner. That is what would prompt a trade of Dwight. I think they should have higher goals than that though. If this team is not going to be a championship team this year, they are not going to be a championship team next year.
It's the star players who have to get their team to the Finals every year. Harden & Howard are going to play better than? Westbrook & Durant Lilliard & LMA Paul & Griffin Duncan & Parker I don't see that happening since Howard is too unskilled. On top of that, Howard has a negative effect on team chemistry, so even if he does play good his team will lose anyway. He scored over 30 points 2 times this season and the Rockets lost both games.
