durant is still playing phenomenal basketball. another big game last night and scorching the last 5 games. morey always speaks about how the jump from the 1st to 2nd year is the biggest... durant is doing that and then some. all star caliber play. i didn't think his stats outside of scoring would translate too much into the NBA game this fast, but he is rebounding and assisting (somewhat) while shooting a fantastic percentage from the field and 3pointers for a 2 guard. i like russel westbrook's game, and jeff green is alright. we'll see if okc can build something good in the next few years. maybe this year they can get lucky and draft a big like blake griffin.
YAY!!! Go KDur. They're talking about him right now on NBA Coast to Coast. I agree with Legler. IMO Durant is 1 year away from being an all star and a winning team away from super stardom.
really proud of KD showing up in a big way in a big city this year in the NBA. i really didn't think he could do it this fast. way to go KD. a bright spot in a dark UT bball season
New career high. Too bad the Thunder lost again. I guess it's better for them to lose more games this year so they get a high lottery pick.
I hate that he missed the All-Star Game and that ESPN is giving very little credit to the guy in this incredible second season. With Scott Brooks now coaching the team, I want to pull for them so badly. Why can't they still be in Seattle?
Durant and Jefferson are no in the same league. Durant will be a future top 5 player and is as untouchable as Lebron and Kobe.
i'm not so sure i go that far, but i guess it is entirely possibly since he is in his SECOND YEAR doing all this. 47 on ridiculous shooting %'s... what a gifted scorer. love watching this kid play. GO KD!
The NBA should really kick itself for letting one of its brightest young stars get exiled to a low-profile backwater like OKC.
Maybe the Thunder will become like the Spurs. With KD, Jeff Green, Westbrook and whatever SG they pick up in the next draft, they could get plenty of TV exposure in the future. Being in a backwater city doesn't keep the Spurs off TNT, ABC & ESPN. Of course, the Thunder need to start winning more games. I'd be in knots without NBALP Broadband.
Durant hasn't even grown into his body yet and he doesn't depend on freakish athleticism to do what he does and he will always have those freakishly long arms. The kid has the potential to be Larry Bird with some quickness.
That's true - I wonder what the size of Durant's commitment to OKC will be, whether he'll stick out for a long time like Garnett in Minnesota or whether he'll attempt to bolt like LeBron may be doing.
I hate how Durant gets no love from the Media. In 5 years Durant is going to be 9999x times better than LeBron.
wow thats a bit much lebron could still get better for all we know lebron is only 24 too you know. durant will be the best player in the league along with lebron in 2-3 years. as soon as durants starts filling out his body a bit more, learning to do the other things on the court and of course his team get some more solid pieces (getting chandler was a start) durant is just a stud that why i said a while back that the Thunder are my second favorite team to watch, they dont win but they try hard and have some great young players. now they just need to re-design those horrendous jerseys
