No, he said - "pasty c*m guzzling b****” and all he does is “**** suck other men for attention.” In a later message, Durant made it even more personal, calling him a “p***y” and saying that Rapoport's wife “doesn’t even respect your b**** ass.” But that's not NEARLY as bad as using the word kike while playing a video game. Again, double standard. Even YOU can see that. . . . . right?
It's not like Leonard got fully canceled or whatever. He was barely playing even before the incident. He didn't even get suspended, he was just fined. That was more of the straw that broke the camels back rather than the main reason he was pushed out of the league.
You know there are real double standards tossed about everywhere when it comes to words that people say are ok for one person to use and not another. The N word is perfectly okay in most of the black community to be used but completely off limits for the ENTIRE rest of the population. Thats called a double standard. Punishment should be universal in this country regardless of race, creed or color. The NBA doesn't see it that way.
Oh my bad, he actually did get suspended but the main point still stands that he was barely an NBA player even before and that the slur just helped him on his way out the door. If he was any good it would've been OK. Just look at how many total minutes he's played this season. He was playing like the American David Andersen.
My main point was that the punishment was not the same. I can see the fringe player argument - it doesn't cost us anything to dump him - but he was still an NBA player who was cut. If he was making the league money, like Durant, they would have just move on down the road and swept it under the carpet after the story peaked instead the wiped him clean out.
Rapaport posted this when the Nets were down during the last game and then deleted this after the game. He lost.
