Sorry, I should've qualified - viable options, Ime's not capable of running the offense you're describing (I think we're curse to always have rivals who play nice basketball whilst we get one dude dribbling the clock away or "turn defense into offense")
This. For whatever reason posters think you can just run a Spurs / GSW motion type offense with whatever pieces you have on hand. OR posters just got stuck on an idea and they don't notice when players cut or move around. If anything Ime wants to run a more read and react type of offense where players are deciding when to pass, shoot, or drive. Or at least that's what I've noticed from his Celtics days.
exactly! Turnovers are already a problem... and we are not a good passing team... but folks want us to pass more? give more opportunities for guys to jump the passing lanes for steals? That'd be like running an offense predicated on 3pt attempts when u have mediocre shooters.... (mda) but really, its an agenda based argument... its really a veiled attempt to get Reed Sheppard more open looks - even though he aint hitting the ones he's getting now... but Ime and KD are holding Reed back from being the true champion that he is... lol!
Agreed its agenda based.... but I feel it's anti Ime agenda at the heart of it. I don't think Ime is some automatic top 10 coach based on his record, but this is a lack talent and bad injury luck issue currently.
Because you don't win **** if you are mostly defense.....good offense will always beat good defense, especially the way the game is called these days.....got to be able to create shots and hit FTs....and you should shoot a ton of 3s.....to win in the NBA at any significant level. Our roster doesn't have that, we should blow a lot of it up......we have too many flawed defensive first players. Tari and DFS are redundant only need 1 of them Bari isn't good enough at 3s Adam is a joke at the FT line We need to lean into Sengun, Reed, KD, Amen and we should think of everyone else as trade bait to bring in better offensive players.
