SoopB is hinting at Kawhi signing with the Lakers... ...fwiw obviously, the California kid is probably going to break this if Kawhi sign with the Lakers.
Masai is beside himself. Driving around downtown Los Angeles begging (thru texts) Kawhi's family for address to Kawhi's house.
I think it's going to be the Lakers for Kawhi. Seems like LA is always where he's had his sights set, and now that things moved so fast I think the Clips are out of the equation since he won't be able to get anyone of note to join him. It'd be a shame to see him leave Toronto and not have a chance to defend the title -- I think he'd like to do a 1+1 but his health history won't let him. This generation is all about super-teams, and I think the window in Toronto will close a lot sooner than it will by joining LJ and AD.
Actually half wrong, he met with Magic privately. Latter isn’t with any team officially. https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...johnson-trade-medical-team-staff-uncle-dennis
I just would not want to play with Lerbon at this stage in his career. Seriously. I think LA (the city) is manufacturing a lot of this buzz. Also, why would Kawhi want to sign on to a dumpster fire of management right now, at his absolute prime. It would only make sense if celebrity and endorsements were more important to him than basketball.
They have 2 of the top 7 players in the world. If his no 1 priority is winning then the Lakers are his best option.Coaching, management, all of it extraneous. You win with Talent specifically your high end talent. I think it would suck for the league if he goes there, but I think your argument is wrong.
Okay, I respect your arguments, but a lot of this depends on how Lebron ages and how he behaves. He hasn't really played with anyone of Kawhi's overall talent level and basketball ability since younger D Wade. They made it work largely by letting D Wade be the team alpha, as I remember it. It would be kind of fun to watch LJ and KL them on a fast break. It would look kind of like Magic and Worthy all over again, but as you say, probably terrible for league parity, especially if I'm very wrong.
The Lakers front office might be a dumpster fire, but they already have two superstars on the roster in a city players want to be in. They could dominate the league if all three of them teamed up. From a basketball perspective they are an attractive destination.
We are a great matchup against LAL even If they do get Kawhi, but we NEED to get some solid size and length at our Forward spots to go with PJ. Our backcourt will absolutely shred them to pieces, but we will get muscled If we can't add some muscle ourselves. JamGreen/MarcusMorris/Boogie/KevonLooney, etc.
At least wait 2-3 years Kawhi, then Lebron is really old and it's your team with AD as your sidekick and Lebron as your b****.
