Tmac isnt my hero friend. If you managed to actually read my posts, you would know that. I don't care if he gets traded or even if he plays basketball at all anymore. My only issue is your constant bashing of him, and your r****ded posts that make Rocket fans look bad.

I think we sign him to a 5 year 50M deal, if we beat the Lakers god knows how much we'll have to sign him for. I have my doubts about the guy but we'll sign him because:

No way we make the playoffs without Artest.
He came up big in game 6.
He really is likeable. No player on this team has more charisma.
Morey loves the guy and thinks like you that his strengths outweigh his weaknesses.
Les is thrilled to end the curse and to be going to the second round.

The same, it is not that I don't like the guy per-se.

It is that his skillset is eroding, and he will not be worth a big contract, and we already have the defensive wing covered by Battier.

We need a more offensive minded wing...one that is much more efficient than Ron is......to take pressure off of Yao.

I love Ron's attitude and toughness, hate his crazy pills shot selection, and think he is not half as good as he THINKS he is.

Tinman just quoted me from a previous thread and instead of continuing on that thread, he went and made a new one that is pointless. This guy provides no insight, no analysis, no trade scenarios, all he does is draw attention to himself by starting BS threads to take shots at people. He is a douche.

I understand where you are coming from. I do think that by us signing Ron will help us in resigning Yao. That alone negates almost all of his bad points.

As much as I love Shane I would rather package him in a deal for a more balanced 2 guard like Joe Johnson or even Richard Jefferson.

We are not even seeing Ron at his best right now he has a bum ankle that needs surgery or a extended period of rest. Next year he will only be better.

What does us resigning Ron have anything to do with resigning Yao?? The NBA is a business. Don't think Ron here will have anything to do with Yao resigning. If Yao signs with the Rockets its because its best for him and his family. Not because Ron his here.

Guys should never sign to a team because a friend is there. Look at the Clippers situation with Elton Brand and Baron Davis. That said should be enough

So you would rather have one defensive wing and not two?? I think that's just crazy. This team was hurt pretty much all year. I don't think us fans saw the vision that the coaches had in mind. Have Battier start with his defense and have Ron come off the bench like a Ginobli type role and he can add offense and defense.

With that the Rockets wouldn't have Battier tired and wear him out before the season is over. Its always good to have more than one defensive lockdown player on your team.

When you say offensive minded wing player who do you have in mind thats not on this team. As far as I know We have McGrady, Artest, White ( If he gets burn ) Wafer ( if he is resigned ) Battier can score if you ask him too. We have the offense already. Its not good to always switch your team every year to add new players. Chemistry is a big key and look at the Spurs for that.

Well I hope Dream, Drexler, Rudy. T, Calvin Murphy, Lou Lloyd, and the old masked, tights-wearing, slam-dunking Clutch mascot are all involved in some sort of holding-hands-in-a-circle, candle lit, group prayer to God...regarding this here 'Lakers Problem'...
