    oh god I hate Karla

Rockets need to try as hard as possible to prevent him from getting a championship this year, I don't even care if they purposely hurt that b*stard

RiceAlum needs to add the Nachbar undercut to his list. Though, somehow it was pretty minor compared to some of Malone's highlights.

Malone did it on purpose, and Boki should be playing a LOT more.

He should get some major minutes.

If this is true, Boki should've guarded him the whole game because that was a 40 year old who just dropped 30/13 on the Rockets. The Rockets players and owner can hate Malone all they want, but evidently they just can't stop him.

They chose to let Karla shoot, and it worked until our team fell apart at the end.

Karla Malone will never win a ring. IF the Fakers win the series, they will lose in 4 or 5 to the Spurs anyway.

And Karla will show his true colors and leave to go try for the career scoring record rather than get on a team with a legitimate chance at a ring.

Kevin Willis has more rings than Karla.

I didn't see that one, but I did see the one earlier in the series where Malone grabbed a rebound, and pivoted directly into Nachbar's face, knocking him to the ground. Malone also picked up a foul. Do you think Malone remembered that as he undercut Nachbar? I wouldn't be surprised if Malone flattened Nachbar again.

If Malone had hit all his wide open jumpers in the first 3 games, this series would have been over a long time ago. I guess it took him 3 games to 'adjust' to all the wide open looks he's getting as a result of his much more dangerous teammates.

Rox chose the dirty man as the weak link of F4, it worked perfectly until we beated ourselves at the end. JVG has zero respect of that dirty old a*s, neither most Rox fans.

Well, I've despised Karla since his early days with the Spazz when he was just a young flopper, so my interpretation of his altercation with Boki may be a bit skewed.

Be that as it may, I've watched the replay several times (thanks for that BTW Smeg) and the announcers go on and on about how Francis bumped Karla into Boki. That is erroneous. Steve never makes contact with Karla at any point until he's pushing Karla away from Boki. Karla looked like he was going to make run at blocking Boki's shot, then changed his mind and turned his jump into more of a jumpstop under the basket. Then, rather than attempting to get out of Boki's way or catch him on the way down, he hunches his shoulders and bends over slightly. This leaves Boki with no place to go except over Karla's head, probably ending up in worse shape then Wally's World. Props to Boki for managing to avoid major injury. So, while it looks to this jaded Rockets fan that Karla knew EXACTLY what he was doing, he has plausible deniability to the league that he was trying to get out of Boki's way.

Then, when Boki made an honest attempt to block the layup, Karla tripped on Boki's feet upon landing. Karla chose to use this as an excuse to intimidate the younger player (which didn't work, more props to Boki for not losing his cool) and show what a "warrior" he is. Instead, he looks like a crybaby who can't take what he's dealing out.

Anyway, Karla has been, is, and always will be nothing more than a thug with enough talent to make some people forgive him for injuring (in some cases severely) other players. Here's to hoping he never wins a ring and ends up an even more bitter old man who never could win the big one.

What amazes me more than anything is how Karl Malone has avoided jail with his semi-psychotic philosophy on life. You would think his behavior would trickle down to real life accidentally at some point.

I imagine the NBA likes guys like Malone. People watch to see what kind of crazy stuff he might do. I've watched Malone his whole career. I do think the stuff he does is completely dangerous, but it is old school basketball as well - Oakley, Laimbeer, Rodman. Who could forget the Kermit Washington/Rudy T incident though. Malone's antics are just a touch under what Kermit did and there is no doubt that the anger he incites could have disasterous consequences.

    Same goes for Ron Artest.

I love how the Laker wankers are trying to make Malone's 30 points into the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Come on folks, he hit wide open jump shots that he had no hand in creating thanks to double teams on Kobe.

Lauding him for that is like hyping up a kicker who hit 6/6 20 yard field goals.

It only makes your own acheivements in this series, albeit meager as they are, seem more lame.

Comparing Kermit's act with Malone's isn't fair. Washington's punch happened in the heat of a fight. It was wrong, and it literally shattered a guy's life. But it was not intended to hurt the victim as much as it was. Malone's behavior, on the other hand, is calculated intentionally to endanger opposing players. In legal terms, Kermit's punch was manslaughter and Malone's premeditated murder.
