bwhahahahahahaah this cat basically said Howard don't have a high basketball IQ because he couldn't hit free-throws. But Shaq and Wilt couldn't hit free-throws either, so does that mean they don't have a high basketball IQ. Another thing you can tell he was butt hurt about Howard's departure from Laker Land. To makes matters worse Howard didn't accept his invitation to pick his brain and learn some low post moves from him. WOW. Ok pimpn none of this came out when he was a Laker. But since he is no longer a Laker ole Gasol is the better big man for that organization. LOL If Howard would have stayed Gasol would have been out the door.
Michael a lot of these jokers check people all the times on here when it comes to grammar. Bwhahahahah too funny pimpn. One more thing some will report you if call them out their name pimp or use profanity. So be careful on the usage of " B**** move.
Lakers Nation and lakers fans have imo misguided anger. What i mean is that instead of getting pissed off at the total ineptitude of the Front Office, they have lashed out on a guy that chose to leave the city of Angels to play in HTown. 1. The Lakers now have to deal with the prospect of having to pay Kobe Bryant 30 mil plus and him not giving anything close to what he did last year. 2. They have to rely on the aged Pau Gasol and 40 year old Nash to carry the team... 3. Did I mention that they have no picks to be able to improve their future. They are solely relying on Free Agents. 4. OK lets say they have Kobe, Gasol and Nash being able to play at full strength...what else do they have? Kaman, Farmar, Blake??? lol 5. Coaching system with Mike DAntoni is a total joke. 6. The Lakers are destined for the lottery in this year West: They have to compete against: the Mavs, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Kings, Nuggets and Jazz With all that being said, Kareem is just a glorified Lakers fan. I give him all the accolades of being one of the all time greats. There is no denying that the guy knows his bball. But he totally ripped on the "BBall IQ" of someone that cant shoot free throws? That was his premise for his argument. "Would you want someone that cant shoot FTs at the end of the game??" Kareem spoke like a chick that got dumped, but wouldnt have said any of this if Dwight stayed. PS. you had a full year to mold a guy that you thought could have been valuable to your franchise Kareem. Yet, know you are ripping on a dude that decided what was best for his career and future. Now as Dwight has shown interest in learning from Hakeem and McHale, Kareem feels slighted that he wasnt asked for help.
I respect Kareem as an intellectual, but the vindictiveness in his assessment of Howard is woefully obvious. He first tips his hand when he admits he approached Howard to offer his divine assistance and Howard rejected him. Apparently Kareem overvalues him worth as a tutor to players in today's game. This is made obvious by his exaggerated praise of Joakim Noah for seeking him out in contrast to Howard. The facts are: Joakim Noah has a career scoring average of 9.4 ppg with his highest being 11.9 last season. Dwight Howard has a career average of 18.3 with four seasons of over 20 ppg. In addition Howard has lead the league in rebounding 5 times and is a 3 time DPOY. Yet Kareem implies Howard is the one with the low basketball IQ on both ends. Also conspicuously missing was the fact that Howard was already working with Olajuwon, a player whose tutelage better fits Howard's natural gifts. Nevermind that many are of the opinion that Olajuwon was a better all around player than Jabbar and he is apparently someone that Howard respects more. Then to suggest that Howard's free-throw failings are evidence of a low basketball IQ is asinine. As many have pointed out, some of the greatest big men in the history of the game have struggled at the line. Lastly, and most laughably, he suggests Howard doesn't know how to help his team win and offers up Marc Gasol as a preferable alternative. Here's the truth; In the five years they have been in the league together: Marc Gasol's teams are 207-187 with one appearance in the conference finals. Dwight Howard's teams are 252-142 with two appearances in the conference finals and one trip to the NBA Finals. So on what is Kareem basing his conclusion? He certainly can't argue that Howard has had a better supporting cast. Nor can he say that Gasol was more central to Memphis' success than was Howard in Orlando. Because it's been often echoed, his assessment may seem fair at first glance, but ultimately much of his criticisms ring hollow and don't hold up under scrutiny. I believe Kareem knows this and he is simply exploiting an opportunity to join a chorus of detractors in order to effect his vindictive agenda. It's bitter...It's petty...and oddly enough, it's totally in keeping with the things that have been said about Kareem's character through the years.
Do not want. Low IQ. Bad FT's. Can't play both sides. Small shelf life. You don't seek for my help but Noah does. Do not want. Spoiler Spoiler
I don't think Howard has a low BBall IQ. You can say he may have applied himself at certain times, but he isn't stupid.
Serious? Kareem basically called him stupid and overrated, mainly bc he can't hit ft's. Are you a lakers fan or something?
