mtv/vma's have been irrelevant for quite sometime now. The bands, the groups, of late are boring and uninspiring. Whatever happened to Rn'R, rebellion, and attitude? OHHHH everyone is too pc and nice to dare go there... stagged, douchebag move or not; kudos to mr. west; balls...someones got 'em.
Kanye made the VMAs something this year. No one would be talking about it today if it wasn't for him. Plus, the audio on Obama calling him a jackass is out, and some ABC News reporter (who co-anchors Nightline), is probably out of a job because of it. epic is epic.
There is a difference, albeit a fine line, between being a rebel and being an *******. Kanye is the latter. BTW, he apparently called Taylor Swift to apologize too. Dude must really be feelin the heat.
They would be talking about the Michael Jackson tribute, and the performances which across the board were stronger than recent years(with Beyonce's performance ironically being the weakest and most obviously lip synced). And what a shame it would have been if the VMAs had been about Michael Jackson's huge footprint on music videos or about the performances rather than about one ignant, uneducated, unsocialized ***** shooting off his mouth coz he's wasted and has a 4 inch penis Make no mistake. MTV is dead and died 15 years ago. The VMAs are entirely about promoting Twilight, Gossip Girl and Viacom properties like The Hills to 14 year old tween girls. But make no mistake that it's popular within its demographic and makes money for MTV and for the artists who appear. The last thing they (or Kanye) needed was Kanye going up there and punking himself on national TV
