I don't follow West on Twitter. The closest I get is Kirby Jenner's Instagram. So I have no idea what he's been tweeting. I will follow it if it actually ever rises to real news.

I think he's free to like Trump to his heart's desire.

Kanye liking Trump doesn't surprise me. They have a lot in common, IMO. They are both mentally stable geniuses in their own minds.

Don't fall for it, Mr. Dennison! Kanye just wants to get you on tape and use you on his next single in his new album The Life Of The Old Kanye Before Kanye.
I give my comment an A+

Is there one for all the Conservative hypocrites that completely flip-flopped on him?

Is there a single conservative policy he supports?

He also "Loves" Hillary Clinton and in fact donated to her campaign lol. He didn't even donate to Trump's as far as we know but yeah he's a big 'fan' of Trump.

It'll be fun to see how far he takes it. Dude was at March For Our Lives that was like a month ago lol.

He did this in 2016, then visited Trump's tower, then wasn't invited to the inauguration because he wasn't "Traditionally American Enough" (Had his I'm not Black I'm Kanye moment there...) and then deleted all support of Trump from his twitter. I guess though since he has a few albums on the way he's going to try this whole thing again.

I thought Kanye was a dumbass the moment I laid eyes on him, which I suppose was when he said Bush hates black people. So I'm not going to turn on him for liking Trump because I've literally always disliked him as long as I've known he's existed.

There is this pressure, though, on black people like Kanye or Pgab to be liberal, which isn't fair. It is in their own self-interest, its argued. But people are free to make that determination for themselves. Its probably in my self-interest to be a conservative, but I'm not.

    News in Brief
Publicist Worried Kanye West’s Support Of Trump Will Damage His Carefully Crafted Public Image As A Manic Self-Absorbed Lunatic

LOS ANGELES—Expressing concern over the fallout from several controversial tweets praising the president, Kanye West’s publicist was reportedly worried Thursday that the rapper’s support of Donald Trump would damage his carefully crafted public image as a manic, self-absorbed lunatic. “Christ, we’ve worked so hard to maintain this image of Kanye as an incredibly vain, impulsive madman, and now he’s gone and ruined it all,” said stressed-out publicist Tracy Nguyen Romulus, explaining that she was in the middle of a massive damage control campaign to counter the effects that West’s statements had on fans who had always seen the hip-hop star as paranoid, egotistical, and delusional. “I’m concerned that when people think of Kanye now, they’ll associate him with these tweets, and not as being a batshit narcissist who will say absolutely anything for attention. Not to mention Kanye went and linked himself to our deeply unpopular president, destroying the illusion that he’s really just a deranged egomaniac absolutely obsessed with fame and power, and someone who already voiced support for Trump in the past. I don’t know what we’re going to do.” The publicist was also worried that a number of Kanye’s tweets about thought police and his inability to be managed would confuse and even alienate a public who knew the rapper to be straightforward, clear, and modest.

Close, but he's talking about currency and bitcoin. He's not talking about empowering local governments.

Don't get it twisted, I don't think anyone should believe that Kanye West is really a conservative, we've just gotten to the point where the only way a person like him can say something truly shocking is for it to come seemingly from the right. The mainstream left is so fringe these days that there's no extreme thing you can say that anyone would even pay attention to. You don't make any waves no matter how insane left you go. Now if a black man suggests that he's not going to have his mind enslaved by the Democrat party anymore.....now that makes all kinds of waves. That's the reason he did it and it worked. It's all a publicity stunt, but I think it's interesting to look at why the relatively innocuous things he said got the reaction they did.

Decentralizing currency is a far right position. As is decentralizing everything.

Eh, I'd argue that it's as much a far right position as legalizing weed is a left position...basically, it occupies both spaces.

For what it is worth, Wikipedia has it under "Libertarian Socialism".

How presumptuous of you to insinuate that black people have their minds enslaved by the Democratic party. Black individuals are free to make up their own mind which candidates or party to support. They can choose for themselves the reasons why they support or don't support a party or individual.

How arrogant are you to tell black people their minds are enslaved?

The Democratic party may need to improve many things but for many black voters, they far and away represent their interests better than the Republicans.

For starters, only the Republican party has admittedly specifically targeted black voters to keep them from voting. Why would a large number of black voters ever vote a party that would do that? So right there, all the Democratic party has to do is not try and prevent black voters from voting. But you can also look at issues like education, health insurance, philosophies on tax burdens etc., and those are more areas where the Democratic party would better represent the point of view of black voters and Republicans would be further away from those views.

But rather than actually look at issues and wonder why Democrats enjoy support, you just presume black voters can't think for themselves and have their minds enslaved.

    Geez.

It's just a fact.....and any black person that attempts to free their mind from that slavery gets attacked for it. Like I said before, the Democrat party has never been fond of runaways even after they stopped being able to own black people outright. That's why every time you see a black person thinking for themselves instead of sticking to the script there's always a backlash that looks a lot like...

Yep, the ultimate irony of the right on this subject.

"If you're black and democrat you are a SLAVE to the democratic party and can't think for yourself!"
    then...
"Kanye and Candace Owens are free thinkers! ENLIGHTENED thoughts!"

    Hypocrisy at its finest.

It IS a circle, but if 90 degrees is right smack dab in the middle, then that is where sanity happens. 270 degrees is complete insanity.

I mean, there's evidence of it though. When Lyndon Johnson was pushing what he called "the n***** bill", he said "I’ll have them n****** voting Democratic for two hundred years."

Thus far it has worked exactly as he planned. To this day you have black people lashing out at any black person who would dare support anyone other than a Democrat and that's why they are the only guaranteed racial voting bloc. Every other racial group you see significant diversity of thought, it's simply not allowed among black people without retaliation from other black people.

Due to how the system is set up, you could run Richard Spencer as a Democrat and while I'm sure you'd have the largest break from the Democrat party since 1964, Spencer would still probably get nearly 80% of the black vote.
