because business are not in the business of maximizing the # of employees. It's quite bizarre that quite a few of the so called conservative anti-libtard crusaders sure love to show support for the very same kind of economic policies as that of socialist & communist regimes.
As long as it's a corporate (or LLC) overlord and not the gubermint, it's not communism, are we clear on that?
Meanwhile... Kansas Secy State and candidate for governor... Kobach fined over Trump meeting memo http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/339267-kobach-fined-over-trump-meeting-memo
I lived in St. Louis for the past three years, jumped ship this summer to Seattle and have never been happier. I made a lot of great friends there, but you could tell St. Louis was headed the wrong way. Each year non-black minorities were leaving, the food was getting worse, urban decay surely spreading, and the suburban whites all the more emboldened in their conviction that their way of life was the true way and that they had to act out against outsiders in order to preserve it. That state will only get redder and redder in the coming years. Kansas City on the other hand is on the up and up. My cousin lives there; he and his wife are in the classical music business as performers, and the arts scene is just booming. Young people are moving in from around the Midwest, and there is a greater electricity in the air when it comes to the food scene and culture in general. I realize that 50-60% of KC is in Missouri proper, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in. I would much rather live in KC than adjacent Midwest cities. Then again, for anyone out there considering moving for your career...the Midwest is not a good place to live. Just avoid it if possible.
I saw this and couldn't help but laugh. The comeback state of 2019: Kansas economy rebounds from tax-cutting disaster https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/09/top-state-mover-kansas-rebounds-from-tax-cutting-disaster.html Residents of one midwestern state can be forgiven if they have a feeling they are not in Kansas anymore. The Sunflower State finishes a respectable No. 19 overall in this year’s CNBC America’s Top States for Business rankings. That is a 16-place jump from 2018, making Kansas this year’s most improved state. One year ago Kansas was still nursing a hangover from a disastrous tax-cutting experiment by former Republican Gov. Sam Brownback, who slashed individual income-tax rates and eliminated taxes on “pass-through” income from certain businesses. Even though a bipartisan super-majority of the state legislature had repealed the Brownback program over his veto in 2017, the state was still dealing with a residual $351 million revenue shortfall for fiscal 2018, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. In addition to its No. 35 overall ranking last year, Kansas finished a dismal No. 45 in the Economy category. A budget surplus on the prairie This year the full force of the repeal has taken effect: The state is running a budget surplus. In addition to the 16-point improvement in its overall ranking, Kansas rises 16 points in the Economy category. “We are returning to our roots as a very progressive, thoughtful, forward-looking state,” Gov. Laura Kelly, a Democrat, told CNBC in an interview. Kelly was elected last year as part of the backlash over the Brownback plan. “Kansas for years now has been at the low end of all economic metrics,” Kelly said. “That’s changing.”
Kansas is jailing people over unpaid medical debt https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/co...s-is-jailing-people-over-unpaid-medical-debt/
Fear not... California's economy and society really works. Just copy them. Look at liberal policy in action... we should all copy their model for rampant homelessness, NIMBY ruled communities that allows for no new housing, wonderful affordable homes that are in the comfortable $1-million-plus price range because of scarcity, and the STD epidemics that frequently break out. Not to mention the streets that are filled with poo and needles in major cities. Let's complain about trickle down though and how not everyone gets rich.
I'm looking at the data and it shows that California has the 5th largest gdp on the planet just above the nation of the United Kingdom and also has the 6th highest gdp growth rate out of all 50 states in 2019. Cali has its problems but whataboitism it compared to Kansas is not going toake.you win an argument here.
its pretty far away from russia. i dont think he could afford such a trip on his meager internet-troll salary.
Starts to make a little more sense?!?! "He is a cattle rancher who was appointed a magistrate judge, though he’d never taken a course in law. Judges don’t need a law degree in Kansas, or many other states, to preside over cases like these" https://features.propublica.org/med...-decide-who-gets-arrested-coffeyville-kansas/
