The Dem coalition is far too factionalized and leadership is out of touch.

It doesnt help that Millenials/Gen Z are increasingly anti capitalist, isolationist when much of the establishment is.

Tbh a lot of people further left than me are like the Tea Partiers. They dont know WHAT they want or how theyd govern. There just very mad. They also need to absolutely love a candidate to vote for them; electability be damned.

Theres a great article I can dig up about thr cluster**** that was BLM (and now Roe) within think tanks and leftist orgs. Organizations try so hard to be intersectional/woke/super progressive that they become inefficient and stray from their goals. Staff come onto places focused on things like family planning and demabd they also focus on climate change, black representation, LGBT stuff (which also leads to more infighting...mostly between lesbians/gay men and the rest of the alphabet soup).

He left the country with historic job losses and a major oil bust…

Interesting that you stopped keeping track of things once Covid hit…

Also they dont know when to shut their ****ing mouth.

The average swing voter doesnt want a pink haired tranny lecture them about how the military is evil or that heterosexual marriage is akin to slavery.

He also benefitted from a growing economy that started under Obama.. spent like a mad man while we were at full enployment (conttibuting to inflation), nearly started a war with Iran unprovoked (so much for isolationism), saw MORE jobs outsourced, raised tariffs (inflation), actively detained protestors at black sites, gave a great photo op shaking hands with Kim Jong-Un without delivering anything from it, caused a needless govt shutdown, further eroded faith in institutions, told supporters to beat up reporters/non Trump voters, and spent more time being a meme for YAF memhers to sign the border wall hr didnt build with sharpies...because triggering the libs is what mattered for his voters, nothing else.

If Obama had been able to codify Roe I get the feeling he might not have been able to get the ACA passed given that there were more pro Lif Democrats in the party then.

Also it’s not as though Republicans are completely United either. If there had enough been anger at the Republican establishment Trump would’ve never happened and even with Trump things like repealing the ACA failed spectacularly. In the meantime there are Republican candidates threatening to hunt down RINO’s.

The White House keeps editing its transcripts in curious ways
It's hard to give Team Trump the benefit of the doubt when politically convenient edits to White House transcripts keeps happening.

    https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow...ting-its-transcripts-curious-ways-msna1149631

    excerpt:

Mother Jones’ Kevin Drum had a good piece a while back, explaining, “Transcripts are not supposed to be ‘revised’ after the fact. Official White House transcripts record exactly what the person said, regardless of ‘what they meant to say.’”

Not always. Trump failed on getting the Wall funded even with a Republican congress.

Pretty irrelevant. Fat chance it could happen (codifying Roe). There wasn't a need to do so and there was no push to do so from anyone. No one expected the Court to strike down a long-standing Constitutional right.

Even now that we know this Court doesn't care about Constitutional rights, is there any push to codify contraception today? Losing the right to contraception is many orders of magnitude more likely now than losing the right to abortion 12 years ago.

    Humm, maybe there should be!

Ideally a President would be 45-60… not 70-80
