Was he never in Afghanistan like your IG post says, yes or no? I doubt you’ll answer

He visited as a politician, but he frequently made it sound like he actually served there. At the very least he doesn't clarify it and say "when I visited Afghanistan in my role as a politician".

OK, so you have no excuse.

He said he carried weapons in war.

    He lied.

I don't need an excuse. I read the actual explanation and listened to the interview.

He said it was a "grammar issue" in the interview. Anybody listening to that clip can tell that was not it, but instead a flat out lie for political points. Like Walz said, he was speaking about "kids being murdered in schools" (and his tone was all, "don't ya care about that? don't worry about the lie"). His acting is only fooling the gullible.

He was in Italy supporting OEF. The Xeeter deliberately made it look like Walz claimed he was serving in Afganistan, but OEF and Afganistan are commonly interchanged.

If you rewatch the "carried" clip with that context, it's not a flat out lie. Though it could be considered deceptive or misleading.

    ...or a grammar issue.

ofc this won't die here because the two numbnuts running the scheme, LaCivita and Cheung, are the same idiots who turned a trip of Trump visiting Arlington Cemetary into yet another pointless and illegal scandal for his campaign.
U.S. Army Criticizes Trump Over Arlington National Cemetery Dispute

The statement is the most detailed description so far of the incident that took place on Monday, as Mr. Trump appeared for a wreath-laying ceremony honoring 13 U.S. troops killed in a suicide bombing at Abbey Gate outside the Kabul airport during the withdrawal from Afghanistan three years ago.

He later visited Section 60 of the cemetery with families of two Marines killed at Abbey Gate, as well as two other Marines who were severely injured in the bombing. Section 60 is largely reserved for service members who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and federal law prohibits filming or photography there for campaign purposes.

The Trump team had earlier contested that the incident was a “physical altercation” and said it was prepared to release footage of the incident, but it has not done so.

The official who was pushed filed a report, but declined to press charges. Military officials later said they feared that the employee would face retaliation from Trump supporters if her identity became known as part of any formal investigation.

    ...

When the incident was first made public by NPR on Tuesday, Mr. Cheung accused the woman — who has not been identified but was described as a seasoned official at the cemetery — of suffering a “mental health episode.” Chris LaCivita, a top adviser for the Trump campaign, said in his own statement on Tuesday that the cemetery official was a “despicable individual” who was spreading lies and “dishonoring the men and women of our armed forces.”

Corey Lewandowski, a senior adviser for the Trump campaign, had posted photos of Mr. Trump’s visit to Section 60 — including one photo where the former president flashed a “thumbs up” pose behind the grave of Sgt. Nicole Gee, a Marine who was killed at Abbey Gate.

Mr. Trump also posted a video with footage from the visit on TikTok; the narration over the video implicitly criticized the Biden administration for the withdrawal from Afghanistan. The footage included the back of a gravestone of Master Sergeant Andrew Marckesano, a Green Beret who died by suicide in 2020 and whose family did not know his grave would appear in a video.

The family said in a statement to The New York Times that it was told by cemetery officials that the Trump team did not adhere to the rules in place for the visit.

Charles Iacono, the head of the Green Beret Foundation — a charity foundation that established a fund for suicide prevention in Sergeant Marckesano’s name — said in a statement that “every soul laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery and other military cemeteries across the globe deserves to have the policies that honor them upheld and the appropriate protocols followed, ensuring that their legacies are never forgotten.”

Mr. Iacono added that “it is imperative to draw attention to the ongoing epidemic of service member and veteran suicide, which stands at 22 lives lost each day.”

Mr. Cheung did not address questions about whether the Trump campaign knew if campaign activities were illegal on the cemetery grounds, or if the campaign would continue to use footage from the cemetery for campaign materials.

Mr. Cheung had previously asserted that the Trump campaign had permission to bring a photographer to the gravesite — a notion that statements by the cemetery and the Army had rejected because that would be prohibited by law.

I see many are still hung up on Walz claiming he carried a weapon in war. If this is their persistent attack line they are going to lose. Walz on the other hand made by many accounts a vey successful appearance at the MN state fair and even with a car accident involving staff made a successful appearance at a festival in Milwaukee.

    He definitely has Midwestern appeal.

For those wondering the Minnesota Republicans set up a Never Walz booth at the MN State Fair. I can’t verify how successful it is.

It's effective and why it was brought up even by CNN in their softball interview. Also Walz ran away from the hostage question instead of saying "I need to be briefed more on that and I'll get back to ya". He looked weak AF running away like that.

Folks this is real - the Walz campaign is doomed:

Can Josh Shapiro jump in? This is the most devastating VP scandal since @Os Trigonum pointed out how Harris used wired headphones and that she pronounced "the" like both "thee" and "thuh"

They keep digging and digging, but the problem is that there just isn't much. If you piled the dirt on Trump and Vance next to Harris and Walz it would be like Mount Everest next to a molehill. :p
