So since you can't italicize to make emphasis on a word (what it is meant for), you bold it?

May I ask why you italicize? Just wondering.

I would love to see TMac humiliated and embarrassed so bad he would either turn into a better player or buy his bus ticket out of town.

29 years old and 12years in the NBA? Its time for some humility and growing up. He needs to realize he is a poster child for under achiever in the NBA. He is not as bad as Frances, but the mental weakness is there.

SOMETHING TO WAKE HIM THE *&^% UP!

I don't think Steve Francis was an underachiever, he was an overachiever.
Rudy T's offense masked Steve's weaknesses which he never improved on once he left.

Italics is fine to make certain words stand out. At least for me, it's a strain on the eyes to read an entire post in italics.

You don't have to type in a different type of font or italicize it to be "different."
Everyone can be different from each other simply by speaking their mind, which is what forums are for. For example-mlwoo is a "special" person due to his manner of posting and whatnot. He doesn't need "special" fonts to differentiate himself from everyone else-he already is. ;) (he also apparently likes to get winked at too)

Not trying to rip you too, but I have to admit that it gets VERY annoying after awhile.

    [/OFF TOPIC]
Tell me, since when does disclosing your pain and injuries (and he was simply answering the questions too) constitute as arrogance as you seemed to have implied?

It has nothing to do with his injuries, it has everything to do about making the big bucks but not taking the team who is spending it on him to the next level.

If he wants to take the money and the big shots...... he is forever tied to the results he garners.

I'm sorry the guy has never seemed HUNGRY enough and he does not consistently have the "KILLER INSTINCT" his paycheck should reflect.

He is a great player whose shortcomings are usually exposed and he defers only when he has to and not when his team needs him to. 22 games he played team ball and he won won won but in the playoffs he needs to know when its his time and when its the teams, and I think his own ego stands in the way of the right decision making IMO.

He can say he is hurt all he wants, but when he his on the court he does not have the necessary intensity 100% of the time.

He makes the most- he pays the most- thats how a business works.

"Its my fault that I have an arthritic left shoulder, its my fault that my knees are slow to heal after surgery, its my fault that I have chronic back pains...etc."

This is whats gonna come next from Tmac...

because Tmac cannot do anything right for Houston until he gets us out of the 1st round. He didn't just start out his press conference about his injuries...he was asked about it, and if we as fans are going to pay money to watch games in which our $19 million star is going to be playing in, we have every right to know what kind of injuries he has.

I would much rather know that now, than let it surprise me in the middle of the season, if he suddenly has to miss a bunch a games due to injury, atleast we know that he tried to play through them, and he just needs to heal up or rest.

Imagine all of the Miami Heat fans who bought full season tickets last year, only to see Chris Quinn, Dorrell Wright, and Ricky Davis play all year. I'm sure they would've wanted to know how bad Dwade's injuries were before the season started rather than him just missing games randomly throughout the season.

Yall have to remember, people pay hundreds to 10'000's of dollars for season tickets. Thats a lot of money to most people. Why pay that much if there is a chance that the product they paid to watch will not be on the floor? I as a fan would want to know every injury a star player has.

I'm sure every Orlando Magic fan thought Grant Hill was gonna come back stronger than ever, every year at Media day since he always had the optimistic attitude, but when he missed hundreds of games, people eventually got fed up, and that in part led to them rebuilding. Players have to be realistic. If he didn't say it during media, he would've said it in a news interview when asked about his health.

I guess its okay for people to know all about what players do in their personal life but not their injuries, which does affect them directly on the court. What a world we live in...

What excuses are they?. he said his shoulder isnt great RIGHT NOW AND HIS knee is getting better. He said they will get better as the season rolls on. how is that an excuse.lack of intelligence is shining brightly.

First off, if anyone is comparing Kobe to T-Mac in terms of strength, we all know it's not even close. Kobe can play through somethings that T-Mac can't and he will even go about lying JUST TO PLAY. I'm not questioning T-Mac's passion for the game, but please don't compare Kobe to T-Mac in terms of this injury stuff. It's not even close anymore.

"Exactly, he's making excuses. When he complains about something, he goes out and plays poorly. When Kobe is asked a question about an injury, he says "you have to be careful" and then goes out and scores 40. Tracy McGrady is a prima donna, but he's still good."

First I think it's just important to say that a pinky injury is a far cry from knee and shoulder, especially when a player relies so much on an explosive first step.

But to go on from there, when has it ever seemed that McGrady has just mailed it in faking under an injury? I saw him play himself to complete exhaustion every single game last post-season despite these same injuries. He's making excuses? Please. He's honest about his health, then he goes and plays himself to death.

"Talking about an injury can help other teams scout for you. Why do you think the Patriots never say anything substantial in their interviews? Because they don't want other teams using it against them. Tom Brady has been listed as questionable for the last 5 years."

It would become pretty obvious pretty fast. As a fan, I want to know.

"Sheep? It's people like you not thinking critically that are in a flock. Follow the other blind homer fans and support a prima donna for being a prima donna because of the jersey he has on.

Cheer for your players. Support them. But when they do something stupid, it is ok to be critical. It's the fans that buy the tickets that keep the NBA alive."

The day I see him stop giving it his all, stop keeping himself in shape, and start disrespecting his team mates is the day I'll agree with you. Until then, I think you're looking for something in nothing.

Tracy has a strange personality that I just can't get a grip on.

People want him to be something that he is not, which is an oldschool, no dicking around, tough D, type of leader.......which he is not.....

He has a "Iceman" type demeanor. Great player, can completely dominate, but just not quite gritty enough to be the ultimate leader.......
I wish we could put Artest's or Steve's floor passion with Tracys ability.....

That pretty much sums it up. he is a nice guy who dosent have a bad bone in his body. he dosent wanna tear people apart. even during games, he is allways helping the opposing teams up. or giving them a wink. he is a nice guy.

I agree. However, the video interviews of him I have heard so far this season makes him sound like he is ready to retire. He sounds like a old man who is just barely able show expression of any kind. That is not encouraging. Frankly, he seems depressed at a time when he should be more upbeat than ever. Go figure.

um... he said god has just given him something he hasn't had in 11 years in the league. if that is not over-optimism, i don't know what is. he also said it's hands down the best talent around him ever.

i know you guys like to overreact to whatever tracy does, but using god as saying giving him a gift, that's extreme optimism.

that's what they said about timmy duncan all the time. nothing wrong with it. analysts say he's the most boring and expression-less players in this league.

peyton manning also had that criticism before he won ANYTHING.

tmac just needs to win and these myths will be dispelled. people forgot to realize kg was 0-7 before winning his first playoff series. i'm sure he had francis or artest's passion throughout that time.
