Its really simple guys!!! Look at what JVG likes Whoever is older gets the job! So antoine's got the job!! haha We still will be the oldest team in the league.
I think going after Walker is very smart. 1. So we know Walker likes to shoot & is capable of going for big #s at any time; that also means the Rocks wouldn't have to worry about scoring any time TMac or Yao goes to the bench. They should be able to keep at least 2 scorers on the floor at all times. And with his skills, the offense could easily run through Walker when the Big 2 are out. 2. He's a better defender than he's given credit for, he was pretty decent defensively when the C's had O'Brien as their coach. 3. He adds depth at both forward spots. 4. A "closing" lineup of Yao, Howard, Walker, TMac, & ?? would be tough to beat. IMHO, Walker has more value, even if it's for more than the exception, & would improve the team & not just help mask some of Yao's short-comings.
like i said in the other thread.. i still don't understand our interests in antoine walker...he make poor shot selections, and does not rebound well...and barely plays defense......i like stromile better....
I just realized that signing just one of these players will have a huge impact on the style of play the Rockets will focus on next year. With that in mind you would have to think Van Gundy prefers Swift.
