Apparantly you are not serious there. But still your joke is very lame. The OP said JVG should limit Yao's minutes (which I do not agree) because he thought it could minimize the chance of Yao getting injuried. What does it have to do with toughness? Are you saying that the injury prone players are also the ones who lack toughness? I know it's a joke but it's also a very stupid one. Try harder next time.
RocketsForever, when u say Mac's minutes should be limited, u say that for the well-being of the team and your intention is well known by everybody. but when a guy says "win or lose......limit Yao's minutes", it's apparent that he doesn't give a damn about the team and he only cares about Yao. that's exactly when we use the well known term "YOF" and it's perfectly true. keywords here: WIN OR LOSE.
you are a 100% right. personally, I am a Yao Ming Fan, and I am a Tmac fan, and most importantly, I am a Rockets fan. there's nothing wrong with that. but YOF stands for "Yao ONLY fan", this means all u care about is Yao. and u dont care about the team as a whole. this also implies (like one of the guys already said) that u are willing to root for another team if Yao gets traded to that particular team. there's a difference between rooting for the Rockets because they have your favorite player rooting for them because you are a fan of the team. take me for example, my favorite player is JKidd, but I am not a Nets fan whatsoever. I am a rockets fan.
I know what you mean. I don't really like the thread title either. Well, maybe the OP had problem to express what he really wanted to say clearly? I don't really know. But if you read his whole post again, it doesn't sound like he care nothing about the well being of the Rockets team at all. I guess some people would give him the benefit of doubt since english is obviously not his first language. But then if you read his post again and not just the thread title, his opinion is not as outrageous as some people try to make it out to be. The only sentence which I can imagine you may have problem with is the last one. I don't necessarily agree with everything in his post either. But what he has said overall doesn't seem to be that outrageous to me. Do you agree?
--------------------------------------------------------------------- ok ok, u hv made it loud and clear, thus everybody here knows that u r A TRUE ROCKETS FAN / A BORN ROCKETS FAN / A LIFE TIME ROCKETS FAN / A JKIDD FOLLOWER BUT STILL A DIE HARD ROCKETS FAN... whatever u want to claim urself to be, it's ok as long as u respect other people's rights to care about their favorite player Yao while rooting for the Rockets team. what the OP was trying to say was that, bottom down, it wont be beneficial for the ROCKETS TEAM if Yao was not being used properly and got injured every now and then. maybe we Chinese fans could not express ourselves with a second language so well as u do, (no surprise at all, u r a REAL Rockets fan, we all respect that, dont we? ) but the fact is, not all the Yao Fans are YAO ONLY FANS. we came here becuz we care, we care about Yao, and we also care about the team. as STUUUUUUPID as we Yao fans are, we knew that the interest of the Rockets Team and Yao Ming goes hand in hand.
----------------------------------------------------- this's exactly what i wanted to say, word for word.
What Happened to Yao was just a freak of accident!! even if you're as alonzo mourning, or a chauncey billups, if some idiot smash his head into your knee cap of course you'll get injured!!! SILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
if yao were to play less minutes, how do the rockets make the playoffs? what happens in the playoffs when all superstars increase their minutes? Its evident that 95% of the plays are run through yao, and when he is on the bench, the offense stalls and is very confusing. If those advocating for yao to reduce his minutes, would you be happy with a career where he avgs 22 pts, 7 rbs, but never gets past the 1st round ever? I highly doubt it...the only way the rockets and yao can make a name for themselves is to make the playoffs and do some damage. There is no way anything should change in his minutes....he sometimes gets in to foul trouble and doesn't play that much anyways (ie spurs game). If you are a true yao fan, then you should be a team first fan, because that is what yao is, he cares for the team first before his stats. He will never get his due until he performs in the playoffs.
RocketMac and co are r****ds, Mavs in disguise, don't listen to them. Here's what their ramblings amount to: If you want to trade Yao, you're a YOF because you want Yao to be in a better team. If you wish Yao well, you're a YOF because you didn't explicitly mention anyone else. If you want to trade Tmac, you're a YOF because you want Tmac gone and Yao to stay. Okay RocketsMac, we got ya... Everyone here except you is a YOF. Seriously dude, do you even read what you write? Go back through all your posts and note that you contradict yourself over and over again. On the other hand, your hate of others and hints of racism is consistent with all your threads. Clutch should ip-ban idiots like you from intimidating other posters. If you don't like a topic, DON'T READ IT. Do us all a favor and keep your cakehole shut instead of ****ting on everyone. Clutch keeps this forum alives through the contribution of all its members, "YOF" and r****ds alike.
Some of the idiots here really don't think before they post. The majority of the peeps are sick already and don't want to get their hands dirty with the sh*t, but I'm going to voice out. First of all: THere's no such thing as "YOF". Only imbeciles, pea-brains, dumbasses, haters, racists, use that term to spread hate. Because basketball is a team game. Yao alone can't win. Tmac alone can't win either. The YOF accusations are freaking ridiculous and only serve to tear the forum apart. Clutch needs to ban anyone who uses it to spread hate to others. There's nothing wrong with limiting Yao's minutes. Duncan's most efficient championship season saw him playing only 33 minutes. Playing less in the regular season allows for increased playoff production. People who wants to limit Yao's minutes have foresight. They want to see JVG use the bench more on par with championship-calibur teams. Yeah okay so with Yao gone and TMac gone what SHOULD we post about? Hmm should we comment on the recent Yao injury or post somethign about Chuck Hayes? Juwan Howard? Rafer? Battier? Go start your thread guys. The fact that you aren't doing anything else except hanging around Yao threads to spread hate like the 13yr olds you proves my point. You guys are disgusting, and make these threads unpleasant to read. Take note, that Clutch will never listen to you guys because you're the offenders and in the minority, all 4 of you. YOU will be the ones banned by Clutch, unless he creates a forum just to keep you losers around.
Okay, I still don't see any correlation b/w Yao's extended play time and his knee injury. It happened as a result of an accident. Accident happens all the time. A lot of injuries happen during practice sessions, should we advocate limiting the practice time and intensity as well so that we minimize the chance of injuring any more of our players?
Yes, never replay the hater, this RocketMac is a total joker in this board I have not seen for a long time. He is not only a lover for TMac, but has a very low IQ, know little basketball.
I agree with everything in your post, except for the part where u are making fun of the "die hard fan" thing . I am not claiming to be anything. I am disturbed by people who have no clue of what's going on but still try to be smart-A's and suggest stupid things. Yao Ming doesn't even play 40+ minutes. wth? he plays 36 minutes a game. and people are talking as if the injury was caused by fatigue while in reality, it was a totally random thing. I dont really have that big of a problem with the original poster. there was some misconceptions that were clarified by him. the guy that I had a problem with was the guy who went "I think Yao should be traded" or whatever. once again, I am a Yao Fan. I am not kidding, I love the guy. I am a true Yao fan. but the big word that comes in is "Only", that makes all the difference in the world. it's not that it's something wrong or bad or anything, it's completely acceptable. it's just the wrong forum to express this kind of ideas because they are irrelevant to the interest of the posters here. I dont have a problem with YOF, I just dont think it's the right forum and I am sure everybody agrees with me on that (except YOFs, of course)
The play time is nothing related to this injure. JVG also wants to reduce the play time for Yao, but the team can not play well without TMac when Yao is not on the floor.
if u noticed, I haven't directed a single insult to anybody in this thread. but that doesn't mean that I am not good at it. I really dont appreciate u calling me a r****d. I dont think your post is worth my reply, but lets see where this is going. I really dont know where u got all that crap from. it's either you are drunk or u dont know what the hell is going on. please, try to read the posts slowly and try to understand what's going on before u post irrelevant crap like this. once again, I really resent your usage of profanity. I hope u show some respect to others especially if you dont know what you are talking about. and you make it seem like I am seperated from others. it's like I am by myself here and everybody else disagrees with me. well guess what, u are wrong buddy. the majority of people here hold the same belief as myself, I would take time to list some, but not all, of them: bejezuz, dragon167, A_3PO, master baiter, tooth Yanker, Van Gundier, and the list keeps going on and on and on. the only people who disagree with me are yourself, rfila, the original poster (roxfan) which corrected his stance and apologized, and a couple others. so yes, believe it or not, the majority of people agree with me. I would suggest *you* read my posts again before u post idiotic stuff like this one. after all, I am glad there's this thing called "ignore list" in which u will have the honor to be its first guest.
omg, u just hurt my feelings. you are not going to "REPLAY" me anymore. is it instant "replay" or Slo-Mo? do I even know u? wait, I think u have the wrong guy man. but still, calling a low IQ joker and a lover "for" Tmac is not right. I dont blame u, it seems like u dont even know what's going on anyway, lets talk about IQ for a minute, here's an example of a post that illustrates a very high IQ
Good lord everyone needs to take a chill pill... as if eveyone posting here dosent have a favorite payer that they keep tabs on... and wants to do better... im sure the favorite player you pull for... you hope he dosent score more points then the guy on the other team in the same position.... the guy is making a valid point... but I would rather extend it to the starting line up especially Tmac... JVG plays his starters on heavy minutes...and could use his bench more often esecially in blow outs... or when were getting blown out... ive said this before... if we don't use our bench now... how can we expect them to perform in the playoffs when we don't even play them in the regular season...
I am sorry, I am not finished yet, I hit the enter button by mistake, so lets ge back to it, here's a very good post that illustrates a very high IQ : what the hell is this supposed to mean? the team cant play well without Tmac, that's right, but when Yao is not on the floor? so this means the team cant play well without both Tmac and Yao, is that right? ok, I've had enough with this pointless discussion. have a great day everybody! and please dont "replay" me again.
it's ridiculous being arguing on this. Yao's injury is not because he's tired, it's an accident. and, Yao is not as AI, nor Koby, ... Yao is Yao, he knows how long he can play, and JVG also knows. I don't know why are you guys keeping this unmeaning argument
if this big guy can't even handle 35 mins a game at age 26 as it stands now, I'm not sure he'll be the franchise player in the long term. I'm a Yao fan. I just want him to be the best player he can be rather than a lesser player with a longer career.
