Maybe JVG had a little say in who he wanted on the roster? Just a little??? Would JVG draft Brooks? I doubt.
We had Yao last season and lost, even if it was close. If you are going to argue that we are a different/improved team, then so are they. Plus, their key players are all in their prime and have improved more than our key players. Deron Williams made more of an improvement this season than any of our guys.
in this regular season, our ppg as a team is actually lower than last year. i haven't looked. but this is according to jvg himself, a guy pretty good at numbers and details. (btw, jvg thought our defense this year was actually better than last year.)
JVG was never the problem. It was lack of weapons. Scola, Jackson, Wells, Landry, Brooks, etc... JVG had frickin Head coming off the bench! Y'all forget so quickly its disturbing. Hell JVG got more out of Mike James than Adelman could dream of. Yes that was a little out of context but you get the point. JVG had took the Mavs to 7 with Weatherspoon starting for Christ sakes.
