JVG is the complete opposite of Barkley. Barkley hates the Rox so much

Haha, I caught this on ESPN late last night during a replay of the game. Mark Jackson couldn't really retort to JVG because he was right: the Lakers don't have anyone that can guard Yao straight up.

JVG should've pointed out that the team that has the best suited player to guard Yao 1 on 1 is Orlando with Dwight (leave Phoenix out since they're not in the playoffs), but we've seen time and time again what happens with that match-up.

I hope he's commentating on the Dallas/Houston game on ESPN Wednesday.

Not consistently. Yes I think for one game, but overall Yao scores on Shaq one on one.

The problem is we might cause some trouble for the lakers due to two lock down defenders we got in shane and artest. however, we don't have enough offensive power and a 4th quarter killer like kobe on our team. Tmac was that player, but now he's gone with the injury we locked offense seriously.

we can D, but we can't O enough to beat the lakers. Stern needs to think about this. imagine with the ecomony and 13 billions viewers that can protentially watching the NBA finals or conference finals.

You CAN NOT compare Ron Artest's game to Steve Francis' game. Francis was a dribble dribble dribble toss up a shot player with entertainment style of play. He got others involved. Artest plays the game but SOMETIMES gets out of line. I doubt it that JVG would have had the same problems. Francis was young and immature. That is bound to happen with a young player who wants to be the man.

our downfall will be our scoring deficiencies. but as has been discussed, it's crucial to get production out of brooks and wafer if we are to make some serious noise. i feel pretty positive about this team and even though jvg is being a bit of a homer, i tend to agree with him.

Yeah...but he is not as physical or as good on defense as Okur.

Remember, JVG is not just being loyal, but he understands the game of basketball better than almost anyone.
