I hate Mark Jackson, and the CBS announcer (no idea who he is) that always says "THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT" every time something good happens as if he caused it. Just had to say that.
In alot of other sitautions, that won't be the case, especially if Landry or Scola are the floor. I don't think Bynum can guard those guys away from the basket, while they are very good shooters away from the basket.
Just about every single player-analyst is absolutely terrible. Jackson, Barkley, Payton (ha), Miller. The only decent one I can think of right now is Kenny Smith... but even he says some stupid s***.
but when healthy, T-Mac is a top 3 SG. I also heard JVG say that the media shouldn't vote on who gets MVP because they don't have the basketball knowledge that coaches and players have, and they should actually vote for MVP. I somewhat agree with that, but then you would have whole teams vote for their player. I pick Dwyane Wade for MVP because of his defensive stats as well as offensive stats. I know everyone says it's Lebron, but C'mon!
Dan Majerle...Jon Barry...Hubie Brown...Isiah Thomas (as analyst) and on certain days Doug Collins is pretty alright.
JVG would love Ron Artests defense but his undisciplined offensive play would drive him crazy. It would be similar to the problems JVG had with Francis.
lebron has been the most dominant player this year. he leads the best defensive team, owns the best record in the L, has the best all-around stats out of any player... it's not like wade blows him out of the water for him to deserve MVP.
jackson didn't know what he was talking about. he hasn't coached any team. until he coaches a team and prepares a game vs rox, he will know what jvg was talking. jvg was absolutely right. one-on-one, no one can STOP yao. it is so simple. ron and shane can take turn to force kobe to work extra hard to get his pts. it's the reason rox is only team that can cause trouble against lakers.
JVG would LOVE to have basically everybody we have right now I'm pretty sure any coach would compared to having Ryan Bowen as your off the bench spark *Ques the Ryan Bowen picture with the caption*
if you made the effort to pay attention to JVG's reasoning behind this interesting choice, then you might have prevented your current state of being a follower of what ESPN's "experts" tell you, just like Mark Jackson.. truth is, when healthy and willing to play, Tmac is THE most complete shooting guard/small forward in the league.. neither LeBron, Wade, nor Kobe even come close to Mac's court vision and passing ability, and Tmac's shooting (again, when healthy/willing) is on par with those three, if not better.
I notice you did not POINT OUT ONE SINGLE DEFENSIVE CATEGORY ALL of them are better. . . not by a little. . but BY FAR than T-Mac Their Defense so much better than his. . that it offsets his offensive ability My point is. . .when you say MOST COMPLETE why does that never include DEFENSE Rocket River
The question was "Who is the Top 3 SG right now?" So all the other b/s you just mentioned was irrelevant to the discussion. Considering we got swept by the Lakers this regular season I fell to see why everyone has a problem with Mark Jackson's opinion.
y'all forget that it's one thing for Yao to be unstoppable in the post with the ball in single coverage, but its another thing for Yao to actually GET the ball in the post with single coverage. Tht's the realy key. JVG is right, pau and bynum cant really guard yao, i wouldnt say he's unstoppable, but Yao can get his 20 and 10 on them at least. The problem is getting yao the ball safely without pau poking it away and hoping the lakers dont double, because that too causes problems, like JVG said.
Well bad playoff matchups tend to result in not doing much in the playoffs. I mean, which one is it? Was it JVG and McGrady's fault we didn't advance or was it Utah being a bad matchup? It goes back and forth on here.
I really hate these T-Mac haters. They are the same bandwagon type fans that are super annoying... They cheer and praise when things are going good but when we lose they pout and shout like someone stole their lunch money. Same thing applies to T-Mac. The man is injured. I don't know why people put that against him. It's not like he didn't step up his game during the playoffs. It's a team game yet everyone pins it on him. Again, I hate these T-Mac haters. He's on the Rockets, you should support him no matter what.
