Which further begs the question of why you are even horning into the discussion? I just do it to balance out the force.

I am over it, well mostly !!!

    A fair point.

I will concede this point, you think he is a good coach.

I think he is an ok coach.

If you think it is ok to call him a good coach, then you should concede that it is ok to call him a bad one....

After all, we are just dealing with our own opinions.....

You have to remember JVG inherited Nelly's team in NY and had no problems with the adjustment. If Nelly leaves, JVG's going to be the first person he'd recommend for the job.

Balance out? This thread was overwhelmingly negative towards JVG before your first post. And its not your opinion I have a problem with, its the argument behind it.

And, btw, "JVG is a good coach" is a mainstream opinion. He was one of the top COY candidates, and I'm certain that if there was a GM ranking of coaches he'd be near the top (he was fourth in COY voting in a GM survey).

This is what's annoying. Sometimes JVG was an ok coach. Sometimes he was a terrible coach who was sucking the soul from the franchise. And on 8/2, you said the following:

I can actually sort of agree with that: JVG is good, not great. But we needed a change to go to the next level, and so you're happy about the coaching change. That's perfectly reasonable.

I did not get banned for it silly, I got a time out for turning all threads into JVG and V-Span rants.

And, I deserved it, don't worry, I am sure you will get your own timeout, sometime.

That is all I have ever been saying, but I just say it with more gusto !!!

I just think he was wrong for this team, ever since we traded for Tmac.......I was ok with him when we had Francis and Mobley......but IMHO, they changed the roster type, and failed to adjust the system/coach, and that is where I fell off his bandwagon.

Then I watched players I thought could help (with a little coaching up), get into his doghouse and never come out that I became disgusted with his management skills...and anger turned to hate.......now, I am back to my happy self...all is well in DaRocketLand.

please DaDa there is nothing "humble" about the same 1 opinion you have that's plastered 100,000 times on every thread. and you accuse jvg of being stubborn and unable to adjust.

Why in Heaven's name is there a 5 page Thread about the fact that JVG is a coach without a team?

Please, oh please, let there be a trade or something to restore the normal level of insanity to these here parts.

Yeah, Stephen does play with a ton of fire and clearly wants to win. All the same though, five teams in seven seasons does say something.

baron davis will walk out of his contract and go play at austria if JVG coaches GS.

Same goes with Jackson and Ellis.

Why? Baron Davis is a very good defender, and JVG will give him plenty of opportunities to score (GS doesn't have a dominant low post scorer like Yao). He'd do just fine with JVG.

JVG said he wanted 4 three point shooters around Yao, which was a bad idea. At GS, there are more than enough three pointers shooters so JVG should be happy. Right?

I don't get it why JVG fans insist that he'll do great in coaching GSW. His style is exactly the opposite of what the Warriors was doing last year. Rrrridiculous.

Well, yes, Jeff has been very generous to the fans last year. I see, I see.

his style of good defense wouldnt help?

for whatever reason people insist that jvg wants a slow paced, grind it out style on offense. He was always an advocate for getting quick baskets in transition. Players have publicly said that he actually gives quite a bit of freedom for players on offense...i know JB said that several times.
