    Look at the bigger picture:

Van Gundy: One of the most respected coaches in the past 10 years. Successfully coached the only 8th seed to an NBA Finals. Has a reputation of making his teams into winners ( in the regular season, and entirely with his time with the Knicks ). Is well loved in the city of New York, one of the hardest cities to please and one of the greatest cities of the world. Also makes more money overall than V-Span. Happily watching Rice baseball. Can wait forever because he knows he can get a job anytime he wants.

VSpan: Will be forgotten in 2 years.

    Gundy: For Life
    VSPan: Scrub for Life

    Dak

Im not going any further, you know why.

its been hashed and rehashed, and honestly.....I Dont care enough to put in the effort.

one thing tho....it would be alot easier to take waht you say seriously if you didnt grasp every rumor you can find to validate your opinion. Half of that last post of yours comes straight out of that garbage from SPursReport.

Until you can settle for KNOWN facts when discussing this, we are just gonna go around in circles, and like I said, I dont care enough to put in the effort.

Read my original post. The players didn't fight for him when he got fired because JVG himself made it known within the organization that he didn't want to come back after the season, even if we won the championship.

YOu believe JVG will never win a title as a head coach. Well that's too bad, because he won a high school championship his first year on the job before he went to Providence. JVG could coach any WNBA team and win the title there too, if he wanted to. He coached his daughter's pee wee team too and annihalated every team they played.

The players you named are so unimportant. Bokie didn't like Rudy even more than JVG. JVG gave him plenty of chances and JVG liked him a lot. Bokie thought he deserved more playing time under Rudy and his sorry Franchise-Mobley offensive system. Bokie didn't even like Byron Scott. Are you telling me Lawrence Frank is a good coach? The guy is way overrated. If you have 2 superstars in the East for 3 straight seasons, then there is no excuse for doing so poorly in the regular seasons and playoffs. Francis said on SR610 he would have come back to Houston even if JVG was coach, and that he got so spoiled under Rudy that JVG was entirely new, he was kind of caught off guard, but he understood JVG was a good coach and the league was a business. Mobley said back in March after Luther Head's buzzer that we'd go to the Finals because of good coaching coupled with great teamwork. Bonzi said he would have been back if JVG was coach too, and that he's a great coach who showed him new ways to get involved offensively. Who cares what Billy has to say? Let the guy cry to his momma. And I posted this earlier, I talked to Snyder at TMacs softball game and he said JVG is the best coach he's had in the league because he made him realize what's most important in his life and he was the first coach to give him more than 1 chance and recognized his abilities.

Yao is not a coach. Yao questioned not playing SNyder in the playoffs. Yao, you're Asian, you should be able to do the math. Who do you sit? Golden State went 7 guys deep in ROund 1, 6 guys deep in round 2. Every team goes 8 guys deep in the playoffs, which the Rockets did, and the extremely deep teams go 8.5 guys. We had no backup pg, so Rafer had to play over 40 minutes every game. There are 144 minutes at the 1,2, and 3 positions. Rafer's 42+Tracy's 40+Shane's 39 = 121 minutes. That leaves 23 minutes. Either you give your 44% 3 pt clutch shooter Luther HEad all 23 minutes, or have him play 12 minutes and Snyder 11. That makes no sense Yao. Use your head before criticizing who to play and not to play. Regular season, that's a different story, since Tracy and Shane won't be playing over 37 minutes a night. We went 8.5 deep throughout the regular season, even when we had injuries. Billy, JL3, Snyder, they all got their chances.

The next team JVG coaches will see a great turnaround. My prediction is it'll be either St. John's High School, Rice, or the Comets.

Ricedaddy, another bad season for Rice and Willie's gone. He has no Almond this time. It could get ugly.

Spree was lucky to even be in the NBA again after the choking incident. He had nowhere to go but up, and to his credit he did shape up. Good for him.

I was merely joking at JVG's impatience with these bonehead athletes. In particular, Bonzi. Stephen Jackson probably brings twice the baggage that Bonzi brings. If this rumor actually played out I guarantee S-Jax would be the first to go.

Doubt it. Jax is a JVG-type player. Ask Greg Popovich. Last year was all on Bonzi. He even said it. That's why he took the leave from the team. He lost a crapload of money and was recovering from a groin injury. When he got healthy and in shape, he went down hard on his back. Once you hurt your back, you're damaged goods for quite some time, just ask Tracy.

I appreciate everyone's opinion, but R2K is right, it is a tired argument and a waste of time, just like the V-Span situation, neither JVG nor V-Span are Rockets anymore.

I look forward to hearing JVG's commentary, I really do enjoy him on the TV.

Do not worry about it DaDa- I am surprised there are so many here that defend him so zealously and will villify Rudy. Rudy sure had less to work with.I respect JVG as a coach-agree he will never win a NBA championship.

...which begs the question of why you feel the need to parade the same tired junk around every single time it gets revived as much as you possibly can.

    Take your own advice.

yeah you are right..it would be intertaining but bonzi isnt like stephen. Bonzi was just lazy. at least stephen comes to play and plays with fire. I think jvg would love having stephen on one of his teams

yup...in related news, while JVG was at the astros game he was clearly wanting them to move the runners over in scoring position but rather the batter hit into a double play. JVG can coach! see!?

    :)
