Two players past their primes, two prime players that hated each other.

    Three players past their primes.

Three players on their last legs.

I agree that chemistry is overlooked, but I don't think any of those are good comparisons for the Miami trio.

You also forget the Shaq/Kobe Lakers. They arguably had two of the top three players in the league as well. Even with the infighting, those guys were able to win multiple rings. The guys in Miami are good friends and actually signed up willingly to play together.

You feel that Chris Bosh is their weakest link and make a comparison to the Dallas series in 2005, but Bosh is FAR superior to the third best player on that Rockets team. Miami's role players across the board are better than the Rockets' role players were.

JVG is indulging in hyperbole. The Lakers are the favorites if they get healthy.

LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are all in the prime of their careers.

I don't think Matt Barnes has the length to guard Bosh. And Kobe never guards a top perimeter player for the entire game, so either that will leave Fisher guarding Wade, or Kobe will have zero energy for the offensive end. Also, I really doubt a team coached by a Pat Riley disciple will play bad defense. Even last year's team was 6th in the league defensively, and they had a lot less talent.

Good job calling the team overrated before they've even played a game together.

Why the hell would LA put Barnes on Bosh when they have Gasol, Odom, and Bynum? The matchups will be Ron/Kobe/Barnes on LBJ/Wade and Gasol/Odom on Bosh.

those guys were not in their primes. and those guys weren't close friends.

these guys have all proven to be unselfish. and they did this willingly IN THEIR PRIMES, when the stats and galore should be the priorities.

they have a great chance at doing what JVG said. and it won't surprise me if they achieve this in their 2nd year when they learn how to play with each other.

first year will be the toughest.

Methinks JVG is spouting the hyperbole b/c he's simply waiting for Spoelstra to crash and fail so he can step in as next coach

Well if Chris Bosh is their weakest link then they will win a Championship.

I don't understand why people bring up chemistry when these 3 guys have already played together.

These 3 guys set all of this up for this to happen.

It's not like this was some trade. These guys planned to do this.

    Chemistry will be fine.

Perseverance is the only thing that wins internet arguments. Usually, the other person has to go to work or just realizes it's not worth the effort and moves on to other things.

Why do you ignore all the relevant criticisms to your posts but have the time to make snarky, inane quips?

Won't happen in the 1st year. They will be good, may even win a championshi.

It won't be till their 2nd year when they really dominate the league.

What I meant was in terms of guarding the big 3 he seems like the easiest to stop.

They'll be great, but they're not coming out of the east in the finals during the first year.

There's a team in green that will be on a hardcore redemption tour, and they'll make it again, even if their roster isn't as talented as the Heat's.

another 50 bucks to the tip jar if i'm wrong.

I hate how people always try to go "against the grain" to try to draw attention. It seems everyone on this board except for the "band-wagoners" that don't understand basketball, seem to think the Heat will fail due to "chemistry problems." The Rockets will have great chemistry next year... do you really think they will do better than Heat? I will bet you on that one.

Hakeem, Clyde, Barkley- Western Conf. Finals
    Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton- Finals
    Pierce, Garnett, Allen- Champions

If that is your definition of failure... give me that problem. I want to complain each year about how we only made it to the Western conference finals or how we only made it to the finals, or how we only won a championship. Give me the Heats "chemistry problem" any day.
