JVG isn't going to say it on air, but he believes we will win the championship. He's said over and over again to look out for Houston as a team that could prevent the Lakers from reaching the Finals, and I believe he said yesterday that Houston could give LA a better series than the Cavs (implying we'd beat CLE in the Finals if that happened).

Oh yeah I remember those days!!!! We had grampa point guards. Those were the good ole days. Then you have Charles Oakley going out there and fouling the lights out of the other team to show them a lesson.

    Yes...

Jeff said Houston would give the Lakers a run for their money just for the simple fact that Houston is such a physical team and the Lakers are a finesse team.

The more I think about it, the more I think we should use Deke during games. I think if he comes in with the second team more, it just ups the physicality of the team especially if we have Artest, Landry and Lowry on the floor at the same time.

I know that it would be a brickfest...ESPECIALLY when Artest goes into his "I am MJ, Kobe and LeBron rolled into one x 10" mode. But against other teams bench, this could be a real problem for them.

    Lets see.

JVG knows his stuff. Remember when he predicted the Heat would win the title a few years ago? They had an ok regular season - maybe 50 wins - but he saw something in them. Hopefully he sees something in us.

As emphatic as he was with his prediction of the Rockets moving past Portland, I have no doubt in my mind that that'll happen, unless something really strange takes place.

Well, as per JVG...look at number 4.

Now...tell me how this is just becoming more true as the series goes on.

Game 5 was by far the worst game for the PG's. And they have been playing progressively worse as the series goes on.

AB with his erratic play is killing this team. Lowry with his lack of offense is killing this team. The entry pass (when Yao happens to get open) is killing this team.

One more game like the last one, and its game 7...and not too many of us are going to feel to confident about that thought.

I miss JVG's ability to discipline his players and to keep them all on the same page. No way in hell would he tolerate AB running amok and completely blowing up the playbook in a quest to "get his" in front of his Oregon buddies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Lowry try to throw an alley oop from almost the entire length of the court? What the hell was that about? Our PGs need to get their act straight and run the team correctly.

He did. Gundy's head would have exploded.

But Brooks, and especially Artest are due for a decent game. Lowry has been pretty decent throughout the series, last night excluded.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to JVG who went contrary to what the rest of the experts said and picked us to win this series.

He was confident about the Rockets (unlike me!) and from now on, whatever he says I BELIEVE in it!

So, as soon as he says something about the Rockets vs Lakers, I will try and post here.

    JVG! You Rocketh!

JVG said we're the only team in the west to be able to handle the lakers before the playoffs. Maybe he adds denver to the list now?
