Matt Bullard is supposed to be o 610 this afternoon...3:30, I think. Get our fingers and tape recorder ready.
John:..(only recorded last part of this question/statement)something about throwing off that reputation with the recent high scoring,… and this has been the funnest team he's watched in a long time.. JVG: (did not get first part of answer) … uh the passing ability that we’ve put out on the floor.. sometimes as a coach it doesn’t matter where you coach you’re going to have a reputation and its going to follow you and so there’s nothing you can do about it and at the end of the day the only reputation that you hope to have is that uh the people that played for you thought you did the best possible job you could helping them maximize their individual talent and the teams talent and so if we score a hundred a game people are still going to feel that, you know, I’m holding us back somehow and that’s never been the case but that’s the reputation you live with and that’s fine.
Yao did make some stupid foul himself, especially the fourth one. He SHOULD know that as long as he is in the court, ROX has chance to W
Things is. I look at the last 2 games and think, we are a player away from the championship. That's the impetus for a move. Not that Sura is hurt. Not that we crumbled. Not that we need to fortify the ship. That quite simply, we can beat anyone with one more player.
That's a little misleading, he basically said don't rule it out. But you make it sound like he's in an NFL draft day war room.
I don't think it's misleading at all. And if it is that isn't the intent. He did say they were hoping to fix the point guard situation.
I don't understand the comment that the Rockets are complaining. Quite honestly, the Rockets seem to complain at the officials less than any team I've seen in a while. Even when we get technicals (like we did last night), they seem cheap and unwarranted. Maybe it's that the Rockets aren't necessarily complaining, but constantly questioning...whereas a player like Tim Duncan says nothing, then all of a sudden blows up once, and that gets him his way. Popovich seems to respond to the refs like this as well. In either case, the only thing consistent about refereeing this year has been that they all suck.
I dont know what JVG is talking about with the all the complaining, DOES HE REMEMBER LAST YEAR?? CATO, STEVE, CAT....Nothing against Cat, but he should could cry like a little girl...
