The thing is, it's all fine and good to blame PF and rebounding, but I think ppl. would find the "it's the supporting cast" argument more palatable if TMac were averaging 25+ pts. and Yao were averaging 20/9 (and we still lose) versus the current 20 and 17/7 (and we lose). At least then we can see that the star tandem is working and we just need to get the other pieces.

The problem is that under this system with JVG it sometimes looks like T-Mac has to try so hard just to get in double digits.

It's just not how someone with his talent should be utilized and it sucks. I understand they want team basketball but at the same time you have to make sure the people that are supposed to shoot and have touches get them

Right now it really seems like Yao gets the ball first and the second option is JJ. T-Mac is playing passive and i am not sure why. JJ is taking way more shots that T-Mac and that just doesn't make sense to me in anyway.

EDIT - T-Mac has taken more shots but i still think that JJ is shooting us out of a few games.

Of course you are. And so is the rest of the building anti-jvg mob.

Lose Rockets lose! Thats your motto.

Those manly fellas with the big balls have begun to look JVG in the eye(ooooooh) and start Fire JVG chants( double oooh ooooh).

    But do fret.

Because the Rockets are about to win ten games in a row.

    Then watcha gonna do?

    Then watcha gonna chant?

Watcha gonna do when a Rocket winning streak runs wild on you!? oh yeah!

Who is saying we want the Rockets to lose? We just don't want JVG to be let off the hook because he was able to beat a couple of scrub teams.

    Is this really you Stoke?

Thanks Gummi Clutch for the unbiased and undiluted commentary relay. I planned to listen but my in-laws stopped by.

JVG did a fair job with the questions. We could use a win against the Mavs on Thursday bad.

    Win one for the mac-er.

    bottomline:

it doesn't matter who your coach is if you don't have the personnel

people may say, 'look at the Pistons'.

Lets look at the Pistons, uh....their stacked at every position.

Lets now look at our Rocks. Our roster looks like the water isle section at a grocery store before a hurricane...

We need a glass eating pf...
purge ourselves of dead weight (weathersuck, ward, mo taylor, howard...) add some real depth, deal some draft picks or something...

Ward getting a 3yr was just a ridiculous...

I guess we really didn't know how much we really needed Cato. Grant it, he not the best rebounder, but he was atleast able to pull down 7-8 boards a game and collect a block or two.

JVG mentioned the "fire"chants on fox26 just now.

He said, a few people had an idea last night, eliminate me.

It was when he was talking about him deserving the greatest brunt of criticism. 610 just didn't play the whole thing. It was toward the end of all his comments. He didn't go into detail just that quick mention.

Rebounding wouldn't be a problem if JVG didnt send his big guys to trap on the three point line...His system puts people out of position to grab rebounds. Now that's the bottomline!

DING DING DING !!! We have a winnner...

Either go to a zone, or do a matchup switch and never have Yao leave the paint.

yeah I crap up when I see Yao running out to trap the opposing teams PG leaving other guys wide open.

    hahaha man its silly.

remember the game NYK Yao would flash/ show and just plain double but couldnt recover in time allowing KThomas numerous open jump shots.. was that by design?

Well it must be because Brad Miller, Antonio McDyess, and Kurt Thomas have all done it.

That is terribly optimistic, as was Feigen's 11-2 prediction. At best, with everybody playing in top form, there could be a 9-game streak at the end of the month (ATL, GS, @CHA, TOR, CHA, LAC, @MIL, @CLE, MIL), but the Cavaliers are playing well, and that run also includes two back-to-backs (with one of them also being 3-games-in-four-days).
