Here is the second segment...

Caller: Uh yea, I just think uh Juwon Howard is too talented to be stuck at the bottom of the bench. He’s a veteran, he was an all star. Mo is good but Juwon should be playing more. And as far as the Rockets rebounding I think you need to devote a whole week of practice devoted to rebounding because that’s the reason they are losing these games. If they would have had half of the missed rebounds they would have won at least 5 more games.

JVG: Juwon is a good player, we have 4 PFs and we cant play them all. Anyone who hasn’t been playing is going to be the flavor of the month right now because the current cast are not getting it done.

Caller: When are the Rockets going to try to win? The West is getting more powerful. SA, Sac, Dal, LA have young teams and are only getting better. Are we trying to win now? What about starting Deke at PF so if yao gets beat he has Mutumbo to back him up. A lot of people are saying SF should not have been traded but I think we made a good move. You could still get Karl Malone or Dennis Rodman to help you rebound.

JVG: That is NOT something we will go to is Yao and Deke, I don’t think Deke has the mobility that Cato had. I think too much is being made that it is a one position or two position problem. We need to play better from every spot. We all share our problems including the coaches. As far as Malone he can still be very effective, when he was healthy with the Lakers I thought they were the best team in the NBA. Its unfortunate he was injured in the Finals and couldnt play as well. As far as Rodman his time has come and gone in this league. I think only franchises that make moves are the ones that try to win every year. You need to try to win, our owner has every intention to win. He is an extremely competive person and trys to bring the best to Houston every year.

Caller: I hear you use the word pride. And one thing I notice is teams double T-mac more than Yao. I think as a Center with Yaos potential that that’s a slap in the face. Yao should want to prove them wrong and destroy them for that. I also want to add with the PF position I think we need someone like Cato because when Cato was here Yaos rebounds were up.

A starting lineup of Sura, TMac, Boki?, Juwon, and Yao would be a change of pace.

This is cool to be able to talk with the coach..

Man we need help.

Right now I'm thinking about our offense. Tmac and Yao..I thought they would be great like everyone else..our whole team looks good on paper..

The Rockets..I think they need to be more uptempo on offense..and Tmac should be allowed to try and create..and Yao should play basketball.

T-Mac hasn't created anything or given the chance. All he has done is bring it in and pass to yao or take an outside jumper. We see flashes of him going to the hoop but he doesn't do it enough. I am not sure if that is becuase of the offense or lack there of that JVG is running or what.

someone asked about keon clark

He said its interesting about him... he said the rockets were interested in him... but clark never called jvg back during the offseason he isnt sure where he is personally right now if he wants to come back to the league

Transition offense..a component that we do not have. 'The running teams..defend and rebound well and have explosive point guards with good decisions..and running big men...Phoenix with Amare and their center.'
