JVG Quotes on 610AM at 4PM and then JVG Live at 5PM

My faith in the Jeff has started to wane a bit too, but I don't have any clue why people are saying he's trying to deflect criticism from himself. The guy is practically BEGGING to be criticized. He UNDERSTANDS criticism, and he never leaves himself out of the blame when the team does crappy.

Now, if you're upset because you feel he hasn't adjusted his strategy accordingly, that's another matter, and a better argument. "He just talks himself down so no one else will" does not hold water, however.

Man, this douche would be a lot easier to defend if his team was winning...

 

I wonder if the callers are going to say all this stuff to him during his show. If so it should be a good one.

Does he even take callers? I thought he did like a segment or two of strictly interview stuff.

He takes calls throughout the whole show, emails too. Just like all the other shows with the Texans and the old Rudy show.

It's funny when people suck up to him and tell him he's doing a good job. He interrupts them and quickly says no I'm not but thanks, then lets the caller finish his comment or question.

 

I'm not listening to this but it seems in keeping with JVG's morose personality that he seeks out public flagellation for psychological/professional reasons, right?

it could be good for JVg to find out houstonians are passionate about their sport/rockets... with his NY background i think sometimes he thinks they have a monopoly on passion for their sports teams

 

JVG should buck up and take responsibility like he constantly rags on the players. He should resign.

I'm trying to be objective about Van Gundy, but because he just looks so morose and depressed it is hard not to tire of him.

We all sort of knew that we were possibly trading three decent starters for Tracy and not much else, and if that is all it turned out to be, we would have a rough year or two. The problem is that McGrady and Yao don't seem to be prospering undr JVG. Also a couple of years with JVG constantly whining before we have a good team will be an additional pain to suffer.

What is the purpose of JVG's constant whining and complaining to the press and the fans? He would do better to lighten up and give the guys a break from practice or something. Constant negativity, when it isn't working is stupid.

Sometimes Rudy used to seem a little bit too optimistic and patient when the team was playing bad. However, JVG seems to be just aggravating the problems with the players and the fans. I'll take Rudy's style of keeping his cool, continuing to work without whining while handling adversity any day.

right now hes talking about effort how its the most dissapointing thing right now. He said the coaches are working hard with pride and its hard to see the effort thats on the court hes upset for the fans organization and the owner to have to see no effort.
