Not a far-fetched prediction considering how much he loves his ex-players. *sigh* reminds me of Mark Jackson, Charles Oakley, and Charlie Ward's short stint with the Rockets.
What I meant to change in the above post. Seriously. The connection between the Rockets team today and the Championship years is now pretty much non-existent.
JVG did predict that we would blow out Portland game one....so maybe he knows what he is talking about.
i actually like JVD a lot, but unfortunately it did not work out... i have a feeling rox might, just might steal game 2... if not, rox really need to take care business at home...
------------------------------------------------- i just dont see the reason why u claim urself a rox fan. when we pulled off great games u always seemed to disappear, and when we did not play well, u never failed to come out of the jungle and bashing our players. seriously, why did u even register here? can u enlighten me on this?
---------------------------------------------- i lv ur gut feeling so very much, and i hv no problem with LA winning their following home games as long as we are winning all of ours
I dont care Rox win or lose in the coming games.I mean, it's enough cheerfulness for us this year,if Rox can win 1 or 2 or 3 more game/s ,it's just extra gifts from these guys. On the other hand, we should thx for JVG's concern and confidence on Rox. Compare with SOMEONE as a former leader which said Rox will be beat by Lakers, JVG is a sweet gift from GOD.
We have a very good chance of winning the whole series if we win games 3 and 4 at home, which seems very likely given how confident the Rockets are playing right now. This Rockets team fears no one and didn't panic in game 1 even when the Lakers took a brief lead in the 4th. Making it out of the first round gave this team a huge confidence boost and momentum heading into the second round. It also removed the monkey off a lot of players' backs (esp. Battier and Yao's), and, given they are huge underdogs against the Lakers, there is virtually no pressure on Yao and the Rockets right now and they are actually playing the most poised and professional basketball I've seen them play all year.
