Ha, I knew there would be a thread mentioning this soon as I saw it on ESPN. The fact we're picking another big body in Dampier should be a big hint we're going all in this season. Hell yeah!

But yeah, let's win a game first.

    Wishful thinking.

As the roster stands, Rockets cant even close out quarters. How do you expect them to close out playoff series?

JVG also predicted that a trade would go down with Houston sometime before the trade deadline.

JVG and Morey seem to be on the same wavelength about basketball matter. Jeff was at Morey's conference a couple years ago and was complimentary of Morey, I think.

Exactly. And he's going to stay in West U till his son graduates high school... then (according to his wife), he's going to look for his next coaching job.

In the meantime, he's setting himself up for a Miami or Houston gig by kissing up to both franchises. His Houston homerism is well-documented, and then this off-season he predicted the Heat would top 72 wins and break the Lakers' record of 33 straight regular season wins.

So JVG will stay put for the next year or two (his son is either a junior or senior this year), then make a serious push for H-town or Miami, esp if one of these teams is a bust this year.

Or he'll end up with the Knicks... and maybe snag Melo and (gulp) Chris Paul!

Well said. People have become to cynical to accept things at face value. I, for one, believe JVG enjoyed his time with the Rockets, helped develop a young Ming into a near dominant center, so it is reasonable to assume he cares for the Rockets.
