[JVG on Tsakalidis] "It will give someone for Billy to b**** to"

You said continually. I've seen maybe two articles where he has said something. One is this obvious joke.

 

C'mon, this is hilarious...

 

Seems everyone cares too much about the least important issues... we have like 1000 percentage rate of people fussing about nothing...

I personally think he was kidding, subtly saying that the media makes trouble by working the fans up about things, and that he does like Billy, and things are cool. Who knows, context can be difficult in such quotes.

Some think he should not have said it, but the opinions here seem to fall more on either side of the "How do you feel about JVG" issue, rather than the "I can sensibly form opinions on what the issues actually are" issue. Whenever we get these threads, I get the sense they are an indirect "approval poll" of JVG, rather than a discussion of any issue that might (or in this case, might not) exist. Whether Van Grumpy was making a sublime statement about the media and the state of his relationship with Billy, or just mouthing off about a trade that he did not push for, make no mistake it IS funny... the proof is in the hot dog.

Maybe things are great between them and this is his way of making light of a situation that got blown out of proportion.... Maybe things are the same and he's just making a funny comment regarding a rook who shouldn't have b****ed so much about nothing... Maybe things are worse and Vabilly is still complaining, and he said it to piss him off. Does it matter?

bottom line is.... WHY DOES EVERYONE GET SO DEFENSIVE ABOUT VSPAN?

i dont agree with vspan going to the media about his playing time and i think JVG was probably joking.
but ive read on this thread some very very inaccurate things.. that vspan does nt have good ball handling , that he isnt fast, that he cant shoot the ball.. or that he just had a good game vs the USA and he now thinks he is a player.
anyone even slightly familiar with European basketball would know that spanoulis is thought of one of the best pgs in Europe, that he had an important role on one of Europe's top teams, if not the best.. and that with his national team he always played great and played his part (a big one) in getting them the European gold and World silver.
so its one thing dissing him about the way he handled the issue and another judging him because you saw him play 3 minutes in an nba game...
everybody in Europe knows that the rockets showed huge interest on him and that the only reason he left his success in Europe for the Nba was because he was promised playing time and that he was going to be a part of the team..
as you can see this is not happening.. and i cant understand why.. at least let him play a couple of minutes per game so that he can get used to the nba.. you are keeping on the bench an amazing basketball player with great ball handling and very very fast... that can occasionally shoot the ball.
can he be an allstar? who knows, but he can certainly help the rockets in the playoffs.
