Was listening to Doug last night on TNT and he sounds very articulate and he's kind of advertising himself to club owners about his knowledge of the game for them to hire him for a coaching job again. Walton, he's too plain. No color at all and he doesn't give praises to his own son when he plays well.
thats so true...i have a lot of contempt for clyde frazier....his squeaky voice annoys the hell out of me and it seems he goes out of his way to try and use big words...it doesnt sound very natural my favorite was when he was talking about nate robinson: "tremendous amount of fortitude shown by the young neophyte" plus the guy looks kinda well creepy
Different strokes for different folks, his abuse/misuse of the english language is what endears him to me and he does know the game. Calvin was similar, he has tremendous support because he has a trademark enthusiasm and style.
In terms basketball knowledge, I like Doug Colins & JVG. In turns of enjoyable experience, I like Bill Worrel and Chancellor.
