I'm glad someone who's secure enough to call someone an "idiot" also has no use for punctuation. Different people have different opinions man. No need to use personal attacks just because they disagree with you. If everyone did that it would be...the internet. Never mind. Personally, I would have no problem with Reddick at 8. My biggest fear about him (size) was alleviated by his measurements at the tryouts. While his defense might be somewhat of a question, the Rockets' defense seems to be predicated on funnelling everything into the paint where it's crowded with people a lot bigger than a guard. Looking back on the game highlight films from the last couple of years, the most success seems to come from when people are creating off a driving TMac or a posted up Yao. Barry, Sura, James, and Wesley all created their offense off what the big 2 did. Reddick can do that. He can spot up anywhere on the court and can also run off screens, which is something the Rockets do with their offense quite often. Of course, all this is subject to change if the Rockets move up. At 4 or 6 the options change quite a bit.
hmm, there have been no mentions of Morrison anywhere, not from CD, JVG, DL, or the various rumors. It looks like they are going to go for Roy
there has.. realgm/draftexpress said that rockets were trying to move up to get morrison along with 5 other teams. but now it looks like they want tyrus thomas?
Guys, they brought in Ty Thomas to cover their bases. I'm sure Ty was in here shooting, shooting, shooting so they could determine if he really has the offensive game they are looking for. The Rockets are just doing their job on Thomas, making sure they leave no stone unturned. If we trade up we are looking for Roy, or Morrison, Gay, or Bargnani.
If Tyrus Thomas doesn't get that #2 guarantee hes looking for, then whats something him from dropping like many mock drafts have predicted? I'm just curious as to why the Rockets would move up to #4 and get a guy that has the word "potential" all over, but at the same time there are plenty of questions as to how willing he is to learn and play every night. This reminds me too much of some other "potential" players like Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry, Stromile Swift, Darius Miles, etc etc etc. Just a little suspicous here!!!
Smokescreens everywhere. We want Morrison. We want Roy. No, wait, make that Tyrus Thomas. I think the real target is Brandon Roy, but whomever we might get at #4 might actually be an improvement, IF Portland considers the deal we've offered.
