I tried to adjust the title, but it wouldn't let me. So I guess Rockets fans will have to open my thread in order to read what JVG really said.

Damn. JVG still has to bash his players to make a compliment.

If Spoon is just as effective, why don't you play him?
And why do you have to put down other players while complimenting somone?

    1) he didn't bash anyone - it was a compliement to Spoon

    2) there are only 48 mins in the game and Howard and Mo are in the rotation.

    3) how did he "put down" someone - if your boss told the lacky mail clerk at your office that if he applied himself he could be as good as you -0 would you really feel put down. You make the money, you get the PT, why would Howard or Mo feel slighted by the encouragement

    stop mindless JVG bashing

English is not my mother tongue. But since our PFs weren't playing effectively lately, I assume JVG's take was Spoon wouldn't be any better, or even as bad?:) "As effective" in that case, was meant in a sarcastic way. Part of the reason he played well against Toronto was that he hasn't played much lately. But then again, it really depends on the question and context. JMHO.

personally i think that juwon is starting to play better, and in order to get minutes for spoon we r going to have to trade mo. but looking bak at the game against the raptors, i think mo played alot better

Although spoon is overpaid, he still earned less than Mo and Howard.
That's why he played less even he plays as well as the other two.

Because Spoon sucks, he shouldn't be playing in the NBA right now. You wouldn't feel down if your boss said the mail clerk could be just as affective as you? That's almost not a compliment to him, but more a put down on you.

Oh well, think what you want. But this doesn't explain why JVG doesn't play Spoon if he can play as well as the others.
