He just said something to that affect as the ATL-Miami game came to a close. He reasons that Tmac is still a part of this team.

    lol

I love Tmac.. but it just doesn't count if he doesn't play.

Van Gundy: "Can we take a moment to congratulate the Houston Rockets for beating the Blazers to get out of the first round? No one can say that Tracy McGrady never got out of the first round. He is on the team"

Other guy: "It should have an asterisk."

Mark Jackson: "You've gotta be kidding me."

Van Gundy: "Hey, that's my guy."

You've posted this in so many threads. The answer for you is...no. There has been a thread on it already for a while now.

At least JVG gave a shoutout to the Rockets. The man loves this team.

You can't hate him for that. His comments on Chuck Hayes was entertaining as well.

Wow, you sound pretty hard-core behind your computer screen...So, my question to you is, would you ever say that to someone's face?

Oh snap, let me find my e-boxing gloves

He was commending Miami center Joel Anthony for his defense and compared him to Chuck Hayes, even made a joke about him, though I don't remember exactly what he said... I think something about using Hayes' body as sacrifice in order to help win.

JVG said something about defense is great, but you have to have the offense, so, and I'm paraphrasing here, if push came to shove and he needed offense, his boy Chuckie Hayes would have to go.

I may have gotten that wrong... so you may want to wait for someone else to chime in... :D

    He said I

always gave praise and pointed out what chuck did during the film sessions, but if I had to pick a player to go down with an injury he would have been first. You have to be able to have offensive threat.

Come on guys, he said it tongue in cheek, he was not serious about the T-Mac thing.

The Chuck Hayes one was hilarious though. JVG is entertaining as hell. I really hope he would consider coming up to Chi-town to coach these young Bulls.
