The futue of the league... [Announcer voice] And here comes Kobe Bryant...OHHH TRACY MCGRADY! WHAT A FLOP! HE JUST FAKED THE REF RIGHT OUT OF HIS SHOES![/Announcer voice] [Analyst voice]Yeah, it takes talent to make a ref call a foul that fast, and there was no contact! Amazing play. That's talent you are born with.[/Analyst voice]
The idea is just to draw attention to the initial point and angle of contact. It's just playing smart: The officials usually won't call it in the pro game if the defensive player is merely pushed out of the way on a drive to the basket, even if the offensive player initiated the contact and even if a charge should be the right call to make.
Every teams need a flopper to success! Spurs got Ginobili all the championships years, Lakers got Fisher and Fox during theirs! So we need ours! By the way, you cant teach teaching, is an instinct!
Oh man. You are absolutely right but you missed the other one. Diego Simone's flopping ruined David Beckham (caution: He's playing in the US now. I mean Beckham.) in WC game. Together with England. So, thread proved. What a beautiful national treasure.
Scola flops, but I don't put him on the level of Ginobili, Raja Bell and Devin Harris. Scola more or less tries to sell calls that could be fouls, unlike the aforementioned players who just flail like a bunch of fairys at the slightest hint of contact.
It used to not be basketball period.........But rules have changed......Now u can just act and fall down ....I hate it
ever notice that most Argentinians grow their hair long so they can accentuate their flopping.. same thing with Germans and Canadians.
